Stand Up Paddle HQ- St Kilda

If you haven't as yet tried Stand Up Paddle boarding (also know as SUP or Supping) then you must and there's no better place to try it out than at St Kilda beach. Stand Up Paddle Boarding HQ operate there right on Pier Road, in front of the Royal Melbourne Yacht Club, so you can hire a board and all the equipment you need, and paddle away.You can also have group or private lessons if need be. Stand Up Paddle Boarding HQ operate their SUP school there and they are skilled and passionate about supping and they will help you learn the correct technique and master the sport.Not only is this sport great for general and core fitness (great for strengthening your core back) through strength and balance exercise, at the same time you'll have lot of fun in the water. Paddling among the beautiful yachts and the sea life, even with penguins visible swimming underneath your paddle board is a lot of fun.Highly recommend.

What an excellent session we had yesterday! Vincent and the team guided my whole student group through the session in a way that ensured every single student experienced success at this new skill AND showed us a very cute little group of penguins which made our day! Highly recommend! This was my first time trying SUP and I’ll definitely be doing this again. Kyle was a great instructor and gave everyone enough attention so that we knew what we’re doing and felt safe. Vincent brought so much passion and enthusiasm and made the experience so much fun. We saw the penguins at the pier and the amazing city views from the bay. Absolutely loved it.

Shared a great experience with my daughter on the bay in St.Kilda for our first time paddle boarding. The team at SUP-HQ were friendly helpful and flexible. Weather conditions were perfect and we got to see penguins, jelly fish, sea stars and a sting ray.

Such a brilliant afternoon! The team at SUP were so welcoming and helpful. As a beginner I was very nervous but their instructor was informative and supportive. Right in the heart of St Kilda, the location could not be more convenient.It felt like one big group of friends hanging out at the beach. I am so grateful to the team! This was the best experience we have had in a long long time! The staff, the knowledge, the equipment - all top notch! Vincent and the team gave us so many valuable tips and tricks - by the end of the lesson, we were all so confident and relaxed to take a nice trip around St Kilda Pier. This is such an amazing experience. The instructors are really cool and helpful. They give enough attention to make you feel really safe but then let you have enough time to cruise around the harbour at your own leisure. I live in Melbourne but went with my daughter and had a fantastic time. We’re going again for sure! We also spoke to some tourists who were doing the SUP from out of town and they said their was an amazing addition to their holiday. Can’t wait to do it again.

I could not speak highly enough of our entire experience. Vincent made us feel very welcome and his instruction on paddle boarding were first class. Both myself and my partner were standing up in no time in no small part to the excellence of his tuition. The location is fantastic for beginners, easy access by car or public transport and the waters calm. Highly recommended - we will be back!

Instructor Vinny was a bloody legend! We had an amazing time paddling in the stunning St Kilda Bay. Highly recommend for yourself or a gift voucher for friends/family!
