After 10 years of struggling to find a reason for my daughter's difficulties in learning (now 15), but knowing she was bright, we now know what the problem is and how to correct it. We couldn't be happier!She had previously passed a dyslexia test, but things never seemed to be totally right. She's always been average grade at school, but it was little things I noticed (eg. unable to distiguish vv from w on a reg plate). The expert at Eyes on Duncraig had completed training in the UK on eye conditions and their relationship to a child's learning and how to treat them.He did an extremely thorough examination and explained her condition and how to remedy it with glasses specifically designed for her 'unstable left eye dominance'! (shes right handed) he noted how she struggles to see things in line and naturally tilts her head to self correct. I wanted to hug him (but settled for a handshake). He's confident the gasses will have a positive impact on her ability to learn. I'm so glad to have not only an answer, but a solution. All just in time to start year 10 at school.The reception staff were also incredibly helpful. They helped my daughter choose her glasses and offered sensible advice on the size of the lens and fashion, with a kind and careful manner.If you have concern about your child's ability to learn I cannot recommend the professionalism and expert ability and knowledge at Eyes on Duncraig high enough!!Thank you Eyes on Duncraig!
