Our son has been attending for the last 2.5 years. We are very comforted that he is taken care of while we are at work. The staff are always approachable, provide quality feedback as to how he is going and also provide great daily photos so we know what he's doing each day. It's refreshing to know he feels safe and well looked after while we are away. The growth in confidence and knowledge is out of this world. We will happily be sending our 2nd child here soon.

3 of my children have attended the Lakes Early Learning Centre, pretty much on a full time basis over the past 4 years. I can't praise the staff, management and owners enough, they have gone above and beyond for us. This centre is wonderful and my children have loved attending it.

At the end of last year 2020 my son was assaulted by a staff member 4 times. It wasn't reported to the Department of Education until I rang myself after I asked for further assistance from many friends. My son was not priority during the time the centre was apparently 'investigating' the issue the staff member remained working and my boy was moved to another class until I was able to get another vacant position within the area to keep attending work.My boy who was 4 yrs old at the time now just 5 is a very calm, caring, kind little boy who never does naughty things, so I was very confused at the start until his story was exactly the same everytime he told me and his fear grew a little more each week. The squeezing of the shoulder until he cried and pushing of his arm that he went backwards and hit his head then lead to him having isolation time on a mat that needed to be dealt with more professionally but was rather difficult to get a response until they had a call from the Department of Education of my complaint. It was my boys word against the two staff rostered on of the days each time something happened. Apparently that wasn't enough to put a complaint in to the police for them due to lack of evidence, which I placed a complaint to the police later when I found out they hadn't done it like they told me they would. They said there was two staff in the room of the days the incidents happened and being that one staff didn't see anything that was the extent of the investigation and nothing else was reported to me.The centre needs to put children first, my boy was 4 years old at the time and was not capable of lying. He grew his first ever fear, had his first ever night terrors and for months later starting his new school and daycare he struggled to trust adults and struggled to be dropped off.I want to see an outcome for all families who choose this daycare by seeing cameras installed as promised, that the staff member involved is not able to work with children ever again and also management putting children first and following policies and procedures. For example- Injuries from other children would happen and no injury reports were given e.g (my boy having deep pinch marks with blood on his private parts)Also if assult is brought to their attention to report it to the Queensland Department of Education.

My son is very quiet and due to this I felt like he got lost in the system. Great play space but the staff are very hit and miss.
