Eight Mile Plains Vet Surgery

Being fairly new to Brisbane it was very important to decide which vet to trust our 14 year old rescue dog Benji with. We were pleased to find Dr Simon who is very knowledgeable, calm and caring with furbabies.We appreciated when booking that we didn't cross paths with other pets which helped ease anxiety. Costs were appropriate and expected for pet medical care.Benji unfortunately was diagnosed with heart disease but was able to have a few more little adventures with us thanks to Dr Simon's advice and support. When our beautiful boy let us know it was time to say goodbye we gave Dr Simon a call. We are forever grateful to have such a peaceful goodbye for him.Ash & Sean

Sorry to have to do this I just wanted a simple question answered and could not get it from this practice. Little background. I have 6 month old Pug/Chihuahua/Foxy who needs desexxing. When I got him, all his vaccinations were done by 3 different vets. Phoned a couple of vets to find out an approximate cost and had no problem, they both advised the amount and what it covered and if there would be anything extra if something arose. As I like to get 3 quotes, I had the misfortune of contacting this practice.They wanted the history from the other vets to be sent to them or I would have to go in there and have a consultation just under $60 before they would give me an estimate. In no way were they going to divulge the amount of desexxing as they said that they care too much for the animal (more like their pocket) which is same as me as I was looking after my pocket too by trying to get quotes.How about this to your customers in writing so there is no miscommunication. This is free advice to you. In writing to your potential future customers:-The cost of desexxing a healthy small pup under so many kg is $ . But we need a full consultation of $ to make sure he has no underlying problems

Apart from being a very skilled vet, Dr. Simon is a very friendly person, treating our pet (kitten) with love and care and also taking time for us humans. He answered all my questions, explained patiently whatever I needed to know and gave me advice on how to deal with certain situations or behaviours.Would definitely recommend him as he treated us great care and love for his job.

This was the best vet experience I've ever had. I took my 13 week old pup to see Simon off a friend's recommendation. Simon was super professional, clearly loves working with animals and was very informative.Bella really enjoyed her time with him, stitches removed and all. I know his as we had to do a quick turn around as I'd forgotten something and she was delighted to see him again.I had been to a certain franchised vet in my neighbourhood which was unremarkable. This experience was personal and welcoming. (Bella was also super stoked for the laser thermometer, rather than reliving the rectal exam she'd had previously!)

Dr Williams and his team are fantastic! They are caring, thorough, attentive, very profesional. It's hard not to feel as part of a family. We have had the best experience with the surgery. We have taken our pup since he was just few weeks old, and the experience has been amazing. Greatly recommended!

Dr Simom is honest practical, pragmatic knowledable and sensible. Pricing is very reasonable and both he and Georgia care not obly for your pet but are compassionate and considerate if your individual circumstances and concerns. In a sea of confusing advice Dr simon provided comfory and sensible advice.

Dr Simon has been looking after our rescue cat since her initial health check and vaccinations. He is friendly and professional and truly cares for the animals. He is always happy for the kids to come into the exam room to be part of the consultation . We are proud to support this small family run business. I highly recommend EMP Vet Surgery.

I recently moved to the area and was frantically looking for a reliable vet. I was so glad I listened to the others who had left great reviews as Dr. Simon was extremely calm, professional, and polite.Our Border Collie x Cattle dog, Jacky, is definitely a handful but Simon knew exactly how to handle him and Jacky seemed comfortable around him too.At no time was I pressured to buy any products but was instead provided with valuable information on what we should look out for with treatments. All the information he provided was backed up by academic readings and articles.Not only did Simon seem genuinely concerned about our puppy's health, he was helpful with training him to be obedient.

I’ve been attending Dr Simon’s practice for years with my cats. He has always been excellent with all routine procedures. Last week my cat was very sick and Dr Simon made a correct diagnosis and sent us to a vet specialist surgery. That specialist did a ton of diagnostics until they eventually came to the same conclusion as Dr Simon, and that indeed quick action was needed. My cat’s life was saved and I am very grateful to have such an experienced vet in Dr Simon.

Took our new puppy to our local vet and was very impressed. Simon was very welcoming, knowledgeable and we were extremely impressed with his manner with our dog. We went away with a wealth of information and glad we made a choice to use this veterinarian practice.
