Lamaro's Hotel
It's a pub so I rated the atmosphere 4 out of 5 but everything was a delight. Excellent selection of wines, wonderful food (I had the 200g rib eye and my partner had the rainbow trout). Service was excellent also. My only suggestion is we did not think the desserts are of the same high standard as the meals and wine.

Food was delicious! Great South Melbourne pub with lovely food. Service was a bit slow for a Tuesday lunch but everything else was great.

I attended in a group and we had booked to sit outside, not knowing that it would be a cold and rainy night in Dec.The staff were great and couldn't do enough for us.I had prawn linguine which was delicious. I received 3x very large prawns with this dish. These were yum and enormous!The others in the group enjoyed their meals and we all had a good experience.It is a lovely spot to sit outside and enjoy beautiful South Melbourne.

Delicious food with an extensive list of drinks to pair and wonderful service. The king prawn linguini is definitely worth a try and their steak is cooked beautifully. The atmosphere is also perfect for a date night or a special occasion. We will definitely return for another visit.

Very nice! The free bread came warm and tasted amazing. Not sure if that's just my love of bread, but I think it was great. I don't normally like scallops, but the scallop entree was amazing. All the flavours complimented each other and it was delicious. The sourdough crostini was a little odd, but that's just because I'm not a fan of anchovies. The goats cheese did cut through that strength so it was alright. I ordered the steak for the main and it was perfect for me. I wish there was a mushroom sauce, but I can't complain too much over the Diane sauce. Some complimenting salad would have looked better on the plate, but overall it was great!I should have ordered the pudding for dessert. It was delicious! The brandy snap basket with ice cream/sorbet was still great, just not as good as the taste I had of the pudding!Service was also amazing. Very attentive and friendly!

Lamaro's Hotel
Lamaro's is a beautiful old school gastro pub with an intimate but large dinning room and cosy bar space with tables as well. Service here is cheerful, attentive and relatively speedy. The food is what you come here for and it never disappoints! Their veal schnitzel will have you transported back to European nights, done so well with a great sauce and side. Food options to make most happy and a very solid wine list too.

Ambience was nice wasn’t too busy in the bar however was a little loud. The saganaki was perfectly prepared. I had a beef burger which was delicious and the chips were fresh and well seasoned. My partner had the scotch fillet which was a little chewy but cooked nicely with the red wine jus.

A wonderful lunch at Lamaro’s Friday very busy couldn’t get inside but the outdoor marquee is set up well and warm with heating. Very popular you need to book and I know why… my lobster tail pasta was sensational I’m still memory tasting. Wonderful service very attentive friendly staff. The veal schnitzel is a favourite here served with slaw. Plenty of wine and beers on offer.
