Very friendly, bubbly and approachable staff! Both the times I've been there the food has been amazing. My favourite dishes are the king prawn veggies and sweet & sour ribs. Definitely will coming back with friends

Have been looking for a new Chinese Restaurant since the Shanghai Palace at Prospect closed.. Meis Canteen is our new go to for Chinese food...Eshand Chicken is my favorite, the crispy beef in sweet and sour is great.... everyone loves the dimsims and their chicken sweet corn soup, all very good....the fried rice is the best I've tasted in a while, just needs a little salt, but that's no big deal. Hokkien noodles with duck too is very good... we will be regulars, for sure....very happy customers...forgot to mention snake beans w garlic....so good!!

Overall experience is good. All the dishes are tasty. Staff are attentive and friendly. If you want to have their roast duck, you do need to let the restaurant know in advance and book ahead. Depends on who is working at the bar, the staff can only make certain drinks. For a Chinese restaurant, I would say steamed rice will be a must on the table. But if the restaurant is charging for rice refill, I personally think that's too much. Plus the rice portion in the large bowl is not that much as well. That's the only thing I was not happy with.

Normally get the sizzling chicken with ginger and shallots with vegWe always have veg removed and it’s always the same priceWell this time after ordering we get the shock that (QUOTE) “ the chicken is an extra $5 ‘Not impressed at all . And it tasted nothing like ginger and chicken was tough as nails .We are regular customers so you would think we would be looked afterNOT THE CASEVERY DISAPPOINTED IN THE BUSINESSmakes us want to return to our old Chinese restaurant

Went last night with my family for the first time - the food was incredible, so fresh and yummy. The portion sizes were also very generous - great value for money! The staff were also super friendly, cant wait to visit again!!
