There are so many complains about this place!Half toilet roll provided on arrivalNo soap, no shampoo nothing provided on arrival.They dont check or replace toiletries during room service. No cleaning during room service, only on mondays. Everyday, they just provide two towels during room service that's it.Nice balcony shown in photos but useless balcony provided- photo attached.Grecy burnt iron and iron stand- photo attached.Only one blanket provided for two which was not enough.Wifi doesn't work.No bathroom mats.No exhaust fan in toilet.No one at the reception, ever! There's no receptionist appointed I think and duty manager's number is provided at the reception desk who is working from home. Upon checkout, i tried to call duty manager to raise my concerns but no answer. Left a msg no response. Money debited on time.Room was spacious, we had booked a pet friendly room with balcony.

It's an satisfaction experience staying at the hotel. I was expecting the cleanliness of the hotel room to be of higher standards. After I walked around my room with socks and was getting ready for bed I took them off to find the bottom of them light brown with dirt. I felt disappointed that i paid extra for this room for new year when it's not really worth the price considering the condition! Will not be back!

The photos make the place look so much better than what it is.For the price is really not worth it.Staying in a backpacker is cleaner than this place.The shower was not cleaned, it had hair from people before, the floor was so dirty, the kitchen wasn't even wiped, the washing machine was also dirty. And I didn't use it otherwise I had to spend more time cleaning what I already had to.The beds are put together horizontally, so it's not really a double size comfortable bed.I ended up separating them.My door was open one of the days when I arrived and made me feel really unsafe.The place is dirty, and even the elevator smells like food and cigarettes.The one thing good is location. But that makes it not quite at all. Is in a really busy road.Sadly, it wasn't a good experience at all, and I wish I had booked in another place.Definitely, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Great location. We usually stay near Summer Hill. We are from the country and its an area we know. Not too far from public transport. Rooms were great, comfortable and roomy. Added advantage of washing machine and dryer. Husband came from working so we were able to wash his clothes. We talked to 3 different receptionists and they were all great. The beds were the best, I always wake up with a back ache, but 3 days of no back ache was heaven. We were on Parramatta Rd but when you shut the windows, it was silence. We will definitely be coming back to this motel. Loved it!

This place is just totally awful. The foyer is disgusting and dirty, the outside of the building is really dodgy and the location is on one of the business roads in Sydney (45 min train ride from the CBD).Booked from the 16th till the 21st of Nov. When we arrived nobody at the front desk and had to call a mobile number around 6 times with a wait of 25 mins just to get in the front door.When we finally got in we were given a room very close to Parramatta Rd which was so noisy from road noise. The white bed sheets had brown stains all over them, brown stains all over the floor, I presume excrement and the sofa bed was broken and unusable.I called and texted the mobile number for the duty manager all day however no reply.I finally caught the Duty Manager the next day and after loads of excuses such as 'The manager has the day off', 'The manager is overseas' etc, I was finally called by the 'bookings team'. The lady apologies and assured that I can leave after sating one night and be refunded for the other 4 nights.I have followed up numerous times for the refund but all I received is 'we refunded to your bank'. I have pointed out several times that this would be hard as they do not have my bank nor card details. As yet, no refund.I would avoid at all costs.

Staff were helpful, the room was clean and well set up. Very little noise considering it's on a main road. Only downside was the shower needed a thorough scrubbing. Overall a good stay

The Merchant - Summer Hill
Fantastic stay. The price was excellent. The bathroom was spotless and the whole place was clean and well set out. The staff were lovely. I really Couldn’t think of anything negative to say about our stay. My husband and I travel a fair bit with work and I think this will be our go to for jobs in Sydney.
