Great place to visit for train enthusiasts. My son had a great time. Friendly and knowledgeable staff who are happy to answer any questions and will walk you all the way to a specific train you’re looking for

I have been here many times, but this was the first time since it is no longer under the control of ARHS (Vic) Div.A lot of work has been put into the place, with shelters being erected.I had a person show me the cabin of the old swing door carriage. He was very informative.I would recommend, although, if you're not too comfortable walking on gravel, this may not be for you.

Took a school group to the museum for a tour. The volunteers were friendly, knowledgeable and were very happy to answer questions from the students. Good variety of trains on display and you are able to go inside some of the trains / carriages, which gives a better insight. If you children are into trains, would highly recommend a visit.

Many steam locomotives for kids to explore, selected carriages open throughout the day with volunteers to talk about the history of particular rolling stock and Victorian railways.

Beautiful train museum and enjoyed experience, see old trains used to run in Melbourne. I remember some of these commuter trains. Recommend this place for out with kids. S/he can enjoy going inside the train carriage.

Being in the mature age group, it brought back a lot of memories from my teenage years. Well worth the visit.

Such an amazing experience. Got to get close up to great and historical locomotives and steam engines, and loved being able to get as close as inside the steam engine driver and passenger unites. Great tour of the swing doors and loved the overland passenger unit. Absolutely recommend it

Spent nearly 3 hours here on a hot Saturday afternoon. Our four year old grandson just did not want to leave. A great range of trains to view. Not all of them allow you to climb in, but there is still enough to do. My favourite was the Overlander, such a beautiful restored train. Great value for money

Nice collection of old trains with volunteers who do a great job explaining things. Great place to take kids who like trains.
