Nice place but no amenities. Great camps by the river but can be crowded.

We have not ever camped here however it is a nice spot too. There's a great drive from The Diggings Campground across to the Woolshed Flats Campground requiring a 4WD for sure. It's a relatively close drive up the steep hill, across the top of the mountain top and then down the other side to get to the Woolshed Flats area and even though it's not a long drive, a drive worth doing just the same. Low range is an advantage going down there so as to limit braking. There is an information board and scattered throughout both here and the Diggings Campgrounds are remnants of the old gold mine shafts. This area in fact in and around the Turon River was the largest gold supplier at the turn of the century supplying over 80% of the worlds gold market. Thousands of Chinese descended on the area and live in and around here working the gold mines.....which looking at it today from the luxury of an air conditioned 4x4 with a fridge in the back and nice soft comfy seats, it really is astounding that out in the middle of nowhere" was this thriving industry. So when in the area

Beautiful place, stunning little creeks. No facilities but worth visiting. 4wd as there is a creek crossing. Roads are dirt but relatively good condition.

Make the most of everything this lovely area has to offer by packing your fishing gear, your swimmers, your binoculars for birdwatching, and strap the canoe to the roof if you have one. From the campground you can easily check out some of the park’s remote bushwalking opportunities and just soak up the sights of the diverse landscape and native animals that live in the area.Access to this tranquil, relaxed spot involves river crossing, so naturally it's popular with 4WD enthusiasts and self-sufficient campers looking for an idyllic getaway.

Lots of wildlife and after the rain it's really green, good to see so much water in the river again.
