An amazing Cathedral in regional Queensland. Some of the best stained glass in Australia. The glass has actually been fairly recently sent back to France to be restored. The wooden stations of the Cross are also quite amazing, detailed and moving. Original pews and marble floors too. Must see.

Historic Catholic Church in rocky, Mass times on Sunday is 6:30 am, 9:30 am and 6:00 pm, Parking is very accessible , Close to all Restaurants if your having a sunday lunch or dinner after church.

Apart from the great homily from the priests, I was moved by the sound of the choir(May27 6PM). It was energetic, angelic and powerful. I had goosebumps throughout the mass. The architecture of the church was well preserved. Can’t wait to visit Rockhampton again.

It’s a pity I didn’t get to spend more time in Rockhampton as I would have loved to have captured photos of this magnificent church in all its glory in golden hour lighting. But having said that, the church is incredibly grand. It’s one of the largest churches that I have seen with some incredibly tall steeples. It really does make for a fantastic photographic opportunity. I was able to capture an image at night with a wonderful reflection from a pool of water, and the clouds were moody looking from the full moon. So even at night you can capture some amazing images of the church.

Took a friend to the 9.30 am mass on Sunday. Beautiful service, friendly people, excellent message. Pleasure to have been there.
