This place was amazing in an exceptional location right on the river front. Everything was sparkling clean and cosy. The facilities and layout of the property are fantastic for a large group who all want to enjoy hanging out and dining together. Conveniently located right near all the MTB trails.

Looking for a place to celebrate my husband's birthday, the Dales offered the ideal setting for a large group of family and friends in their beautiful home away from home style accomodation. With a very well equipped modern kitchen and a versatile indoor/outdoor dining and entertainment area it was exactly suited to our needs.

Dales of Derby is the perfect place to stay for a large group. Plenty of storage space for food, beverages and bikes, excellent facilities and located close to the Derby trail head.

You can hardly find better accommodation to book with a large group. We did adventures through the day and came back to a warm fire, hot coffee and good company of a night. It is a remarkable building, a relaxing place to stay and it is very comfortable. We have stayed more than once and I cannot think of a negative experience. It is a must if you are looking for accommodation in the north of the state.

Dales of Derby was the perfect spot for our 5-day running and mindfulness retreat - 15 guests and 4 crew. The location was simply stunning! The trails were extremely close to the accommodation which made for a smooth and safe start and finish to every run. We had workshops and yoga on the deck in the morning when the sun was shining and then sat around the fire later in the day.Thank you Margaret for being such a wonderful host. Communication was exceptional and we can't wait to be back soon!

Absolutely amazing accommodation for groups. We went with a group of friends and enjoyed the architecture, the location (right on the river!), the township of Derby abuzz with MTB enthusiasts (and some lovely cafes) and the way the place facilitated memory-making and FUN! Honestly, one of the best weekends we've enjoyed with friends ever :) Highly recommended!

Very roomy and a beautiful view of the river. Ideal for family and friends. Lots of space for your bikes. Very private. Big grassy area to play.
