I would give Di & Stu and Countrywide Cottages a 10 out 10 if I could- this place is beyond amazing!!What drew me to their getaway spot was simple- can my dogs come AND are they welcomed? Happy to say yes to both of them!Di & Stu made my dogs feel just as welcomed as us hoomans.Setting up water and food bowls, sheets to go over the lounge so my dogs could snuggle with us, a fully enclosed yard so they can enjoy the outside safely and then the final touch- home made treats for both us and the dogs on arrival.Some other things that make staying here perfect, is that Di & Stu have thought of everything in terms of what you'll need in the kitchen. Just bring your own food and drinks (oh and the dogs).You can then sit back and relax, read a book, get the fire going and enjoy being submersed into nature. The birds come right onto the deck and you can watch them fight it out for the food bird wars style. I also recommend signing up for the platypus tour (run by Eco Tours). You can see them in their natural habitat at Lake Elizabeth, which is about a 30 min drive).

We had an amazing time at Ferny Reach with our small city dog who loved running around the fully fenced yard and going for walks around the gorgeous property. Extremely well maintained cabin with comfortable beds and a lovely fireplace. We chose to stay here when dining at Brae, Di even prearranged the taxi for us to and from the restaurant. Highly recommend a stay with or without your pets, it's a great base for travelling to the surrounding Otways region. Thank you so much Di and Stuart!

We had the best weekend away here!!! Countrywide Cottages sits in a beautiful, peaceful, picturesque area. The cottages themselves I was pleasantly surprised by, renovated and modern while still giving off that quaint country vibe. They go the extra mile in how dog friendly they are. Secured fenced off large yards that even my two little escape artists couldn’t get out off. The grounds itself has a lovely walking track around the cottages and several other off leash area, we could have easily spent the whole weekend never leaving! If you do want to explore the surrounds though, there is lots of dog friendly places in the surrounding towns including good track walks and views of varying difficulty, and lovely eateries. Could have easily spent a whole week here and not run out of things to do. Can’t praise this place enough!

The perfect spot for a dog getaway. Everything we needed, so much space for the dog to explore on walks on lead and in the paddocks off lead but also so private. No joint fences with other houses, felt like we were the only ones staying which was very helpful for our anxious collie! Can’t wait to come back!

We had a wonderful time at countrywide cottages. Dogs loved the paddock and a little dam, playing and running freely, and human also loved environments and a little ‘saloon’. Our fluffy boys got all dirts and heaps of happiness on their faces during the stay. Definitely recommendable!

We loved our stay at Countrywide Cottages! We visited for 2 nights for a 'babymoon' before our first child arrives, and took our 3 dogs. We stayed in the Canopy cabin, which was perfect for us. The yard was a great size and securely fenced, so we could let the dogs run happily without worrying they'd get out. The cabin was comfortable and modern, and wasn't lacking anything. The fireplace was perfect for the chillier nights - I was secretly hoping the weather would be gloomy so that we could make the most of it, and thankfully we had rain and cold, so I could sit by the fire with cups of tea. Exactly what I was hoping for! Di and Stuart are so friendly and lovely. Can't wait to visit again.

My husband and I stayed at Countrywide Cottages with our two dogs. We had such an amazing time. The cabins are equipped with everything you need and are incredibly clean and cosy. Some highlights were lighting the fireplace and cuddling up on the couch to watch movies after a long day. We also enjoyed feeding the King Parrots and Rosella's with the wild bird seed left at your cabin!The property is perfect. Our dogs thoroughly enjoyed running around the large paddock at Ned's Retreat and swimming in the dam. We will definitely be coming back !

The perfect slice of heaven for you and your fur babies. Spent a lovely couple of days relaxing and enjoying the beautiful surrounds, taking wonderful bush walks for our dogs, and sitting around the outdoor bush fire.The dogs had a blast, spending their days running around the incredible fully fenced yard and then taking a swim in the dam.The cottage was much larger than expected and truly comfortable in every aspect.We will be back for sure with our two pups in tow. Well done to you both for creating a special haven for dog lovers.

Clean, comfortable and aesthetically pleasing cottage (we, 3 people and a dog, stayed in The Villa) containing strong attention to detail in the provision of features for all.The wider property has been expertly designed for human and canine alike. From the paddocks containing different features where a dog/dogs is/are permitted to roam freely (including, but not limited to, one with a dam where dog(s) can swim under supervision) to the paddock containing the rustic bush saloon style Ned’s Retreat with barbecue and table games provision.There is a track through bush land at the property also.Fenced and gated yard at each cottage for dog to roam unrestrained.Awesome avian wildlife inhabiting the area.Di and Stu are fantastic hosts, warm and accommodating.We all loved our experience at Countrywide Cottages and thoroughly recommend it!

Myself and my two labradors, Cassie and Flynn, enjoyed a lovely short break staying in Ferny Reach cottage. The cottage was exactly as you see it on the website and the dogs were very happy to be allowed inside the cottage and really happy when they found the treats left for them. They had a great time running around the large fully fenced yard and, of course, the dam was a huge hit with them. The cottage was very comfortable and contained everything you need for a nice relaxing break. As soon as I got home I booked a stay for us for next year! Lovely place with lovely owners.
