Grampians Pioneer Cottages

My partner and I had a wonderful weekend away at Pioneer Cottages. The property is beautiful, with a nice little walking track through the trees and lots of native wildlife. The cottage was cosy and comfortable and had everything we needed. We will definitely be returning :)

The cottage is really beautiful with a most scenic surrounding and roaming kangaroos. The interior is clean and cosy with a fireplace that was a sure winner. The caretakers were very friendly, helpful and hospitable making our stay a comfortable and pleasant one.

We love coming to the Grampians Pioneer Cottages. We have stayed 3 times so far and look forward to coming back every year. The Cottages are just so peaceful and beautiful you could sit and look at the surroundings all day.Highly recommended

We booked the Stone, Mud and red brick cottages with our kids and 3 grandkids. Such a beautiful location. The cabins are well fitted out and do not leave you wanting for anything. Firewood is at your door every morning. With the zoo next door it's pretty cool hearing the dingoes howl in the morning. We also had 2 emus come right up to our door!

All i can say is, money well spent, i couldnt find any fault with the place. Its surrounded by beautiful places like Mackenzie falls, wonderland, silverband falls and so many more places that i didnt have time to visit. Also Aidan was extremely helpful inregards to how to get to certain places, he was very polite and he provided good service. To anyone thinking if they want to go to pioneer cottages, my advice go, because you dont know what your missing out on

We had a lovely stay here recently. Our cottage was spotlessly clean and private, and the kids loved riding around the property and chatting to the animals. Bonus giraffe sightings were great.

This has fast become my favorite place to stay in the Grampians. Ive stayed twice now, once with a group of friends and again with my family. It’s so easy to make feel like home! The rooms are clean, house keeps warm with a beautiful fire and the view, especially at sun set, is something quite special. It’s a drive into town, but an easy one and well worth it. Highly recommend this place for your visit to the Grampians.

A truly magical spot. We stayed in the Stone Cottage which will sleep 8. There is one bedroom with two sets of bunk beds, a private room with a queen bed and a loft with a queen bed. It has a great fireplace, amazing views and well stocked kitchen in terms of dishes and cookware, stove, fridge and microwave. The 1 bathroom was a bit dated, but totally functional. The cottages have all been built with care by hand and are wonderful. They are not luxurious, just simple, clean, comfortable, very cozy and beautifully constructed.The cottages on the property are well spaced, so its easy to have privacy, but the Stone Cottage is the most isolated which was nice.There is a small town, Halls Gap, about 10 minutes away that has a few restaurants and stores and accesses Grampions Park, which is incredible.The folks who take care of the compound were very nice and helpful, giving lots of info about the area. The entire compound is well cared for.Good for a romantic rustic getaway and kids will love it too. The field right in front of the cottage is host to many kangaroos and Emus every day.This is a wonderful, special place and I highly recommend it. We wished we could have stayed longer.

We had a delightful stay in the Stone Cottage. The roos all around (and coming up to the house!) were delightful, as was the incredible birdlife. The position of the cottage is sensational, with amazing views over the Grampians, close enough to Halls Gap and amenities, but at the same time totally immersed in nature. The open fireplace was beautiful, and the beds were comfy. We are working out when we can come back! Loved it, thanks Aidan and Corinne

Exceeded our expectations. Great location and very private. The hosts have everything all in order for a comfortable stay at these cottages. Lovely view from the Redgum Wood cottage. Highly recommend.
