The Red Sands Tavern
Food was gross. At $26 for a chicken burger you expect fresh ingredients. Not freezer to fryer. The chicken on top of that was extremely dried out and leather like on parts, the bun was just a stale tiptop seasame bun like you get from the supermarket, chips where old and tasted like they had been reheated a number of times. Burgers from road house bain Marie's are better and only a third the price

The Red Sands Tavern is a spacious place to have a good meal and drinks. The service is great and the staff are efficient. The music was loud and made it difficult to hear each other.We came here on a Wednesday night and the special was $20 pizza, although the Meat Lovers and the Works are $4 extra.The Chicken Parmi had a salsa like texture and was a bit too moist. The pizzas were decent; crust was thin, plenty of toppings, The Works was just a tad undercooked.

Nice out door area, has TAB. Was pretty quite when I was there but this was on a mid week mid afternoon. Beer was nice and cold and misters running in the beer garden made it comfotable

Ordered 2 bowls of chips and 2 garden salads. $66. At that point I thought ‘eek’. When the order came there was only 1 garden salad and when I said I had ordered 2 - I had to pay the extra $21!! After contacting the red sands owner identified the mistake and refunded the extra $21 that I was charged. I guess more training in the staff and kitchen is required. Still quite expensive for 2 salads (which wasn’t even dressed and you had the option of the Kraft squeeze ones to put on yourself) and 2 bowls of chips.

Bought Steak Sandwich for dinner, it looked good but it didn't taste good. The steak tasted like the grill hasn't been cleaned in a while, the cheese was average but the bun was fresh. Chips were good but due to my concern on how clean the kitchen was, I wouldn't rate it and won't eat here again. The staff gave this review a bonus star, from 2 star to 3. If rating was on food alone, I'd give it a 1 or maybe 2 tops.
