Escape to rural France at Mount Ashby Estate.An authentically antique experience in this french inspired restaurant. Excellent service, the owners are lovely and the food is delicious.We enjoyed the beef bourguignon pie with a glass of local shiraz by the imported french fireplace with the homely smell of smoke by the fire was the perfect setting on a wintery day.Gets busy for their weekend lunch service so make sure you book ahead.

Very disappointing. Rang them and they said the restaurant isopen till 5 pm. We got there at 2:34 pm and they said the kitchen is closed and we can only order dessert, cheese platters, and drinks! As we drove off, the signs were still on the road stating 'cafe open and no mention on the website saying the kitchen closed at 2:30 pm. I guess the staffs need 2.5 hours to clean the restaurant! Extremely disappointed!!!!

By the name you may think it’s a working vineyard, instead it’s a lovely French restaurant with French a chef & wait staff. Wonderful for lunch and worth checking out the reclaimed timber table store next to the restaurant.

Setting is lovely awash with French influence and decor. Menu is good and food was tasty. Well portioned. Wine is a bit average when opting in for the Chardonnay or Merlot. 2 entrees and 4 mains with a portion of ice cream for the $180. Great for a day out and about when staying in Kangaroo Valley.

A hidden gem in the NSW Highlands.With the warmth and rustic charm of the French countryside you will forget for a moment where you are. Sit idle and take in the view from the terrace, watch the geese preen and wander, enjoying the sounds of nature all around you. The menu was perfect and matched with stunning wine time stands still as all your senses awaken and you are once again connected to yourself and your surroundings. We all need that. So go ahead. Allow the historic charm leads you back in time

Such a beautiful experience dining at Mount Ashby Estate for lunch - first time visiting, but we’ll definitely be back. The food was outstanding and the staff so welcoming. The duck & beef ribs both cooked to perfection, the desserts melted in your mouth and accompanied with their lovely wine, with a few extra bottles to take home.
