Cobourg Fishing Safaris

If I could give these people and Travis our guide in particular a lot more stars I would. He is an excellent anthropologist, a great marine biologist in the fishing vein and an all round brilliant tour guide. We had a super trip on an unusually rough day thanks to his expertise. Now, one of their Glamping holidays would be really special. Thanks Travis, Dermot & Jeanette.

My wife and I and a mate from Apollo Bay had three nights at Cobourg at the end of April and the fishing was unreal. Coral trout, barramundi, mangrove jack, golden snapper, queenfish, GT's and bluefin tuna were just some of the varieties caught over either the off-shore reefs or in among the mangroves. Travis and the crew at the camp looked after us superbly - the food (oysters, mud crab, freshly caught fish, etc.) was excellent and overall it was a memorable experience. Highly recommended!

I’ve always enjoyed fishing but this experience with Cobourg was ‘next level’! Sublime bush camp overlooking a stunning bay, brilliant hospitality pitched at right level - honesty quality but not at all fussy. The fishing was a great learning curve and the guidance from experts was practical but never out of reach. Loved every moment and the great feeds of fish and seaside delicacies at the end of the day. This trip took many months in the planning for our group but so worth the long term commitment. Thank you to Travis and Drew and the whole team.

Just got home from Coburgh - had a fantastic day out with Travis - great fishing - very interesting tour of Victoria Settlement. Mate Allan and I and three others on boat 6th July - first fish landed was a Jew Fish 1.30 mtrs long - had fresh fillets for tea that night - fish does not get any better than caught and cooked fresh same day. You,ve just got to do it.
