Spectacular, amazing, friendly, informative. What an amazing gem in the south of Sydney every local should visit. Such well priced admission with the train ride and an amazing ride at that, a little short but spectacular none the less. Cafe is well stocked to keep everyone caffeinated and ready to wonder the train yard. The massive steel hulks will entertain young and old for hours. Will easily be back and will bring family and friends next time. 100% one of sydneys not 10 attractions. Loved every second.

The museum is very well layed out and has a great display of rail history. Original prison, postal, mortuary and luxury train carriages can be viewed. Also enjoyed the ride on the steam train! Very nice day out with the family, staff are very friendly, knowledgeable and passionate about trains.

Fantastic and well laid out. Wonderful to see the Comet, Australia's first air conditioned diesel train, and the prototype electric double deck power car C3804. Staff were polite and helpful. Great area for kids to entertain themselves. A thoroughly enjoyable day out.

Good day, trip for people of all ages. Nice 40-minute locomotive train.Rail Museum has a lot of old trains and train carriages on display, some of which you can get in and walk through. You can do a self guided tour, and each display has a little information on what is on displace. There is also an option for a guided tour.

Went on a lovely, quiet day after the steam festival. You can easily spend all day here and come back for more. They've refurbished a lot of steam locomotives recently as they had some down time because of the Covid lock downs. If you wanted to visit, now is the time.

What a pleasant surprise this place was!I only stopped in spur of the moment with my kids thinking we'll see a train a two. I was so wrong, it was so much fun, we spent literal hours here!It was so interesting for everyone young and old! My kids learnt so much (as did I) and I cant wait to go back.I particularly liked the show in the theatre, it was like nothing I had seen before. I liked all the little hidden things to see and find along the way.The museum of trains outside was huge and we even got to walk through some old trains, my boys loved this as it was like Harry Potter".By far the highlight of the day was the train ride of course! It was such a wonderful experience and very unexpected for our first time here."

An incredible experience... kids would absolutely love this place.I was lucky enough to pre book (Adv booking is must). This is a must see/do... I'll be going back and taking my kiddo next time. Very friendly staff. Donald ride was sensational. A sunny day made the whole experience charming. Sir TopHat, Rusty and Dusty were super. Overall great experience.

Love this place! Great value and lovely volunteer staff. It really could do with a nice little cafe, rather than the small kiosk style refreshments they have on offer.

Huge area lots of trains to see, good for all ages. We were there on Thomas day out.But regardless the museum is also nice, easy to park, and accessible.Pair the trip up from Sydney with a trip to Burragorang lookout and Warragamba Dam on the way home.
