I was referred to Keith Winters by my GP, I went in with X-rays and and ankle soreness, on my first consultation Keith straight up said that i needed an Ankle fusion from reviewing my x-rays, I was a little taken back because I had never thought my ankle was so bad and a fusion was quite serious. I referred myself to a couple of physio’s for guidance and they told me how serious it is. Keith suggested that I can have an arthroscope to clean the area and fracture the bone to create a cushion, I opted to have the arthroscope to hopefully get a few years of movement without pain but the result was not great because Keith managed to have a closer look inside to find that the bones had worn into each.I finally had the fusion not, 100% sure still, but Keith reassured me that the movement that I’d lose had already been lost due to swelling and the joint collapsing, and that the pain in the ankle joint would be gone.I won’t lie, the healing is very uncomfortable but I’m know 3.5-4moths post surgery and everything is great! I should have listened to Keith in the first place. He has been the most patient surgeon/person especially dealing with my indecisions and having my wife asking many, many questions!The entire process has been great from all staff, the final result from Keiths work is brilliant, my only problem was was that I left without properly thanking him when leaving.

Mr Winters is an excellent, approachable and knowledgeable surgeon. Listened to all concerns and I have had an extremely successful result. Admin staff have also been very good. Kerry did as much as she could to accommodate bookings and went the extra mile in regards to health insurance issues. I would definitely recommend to anyone in need of lower limb orthopaedic surgery.

I highly recommend Keith having had successful surgery on each foot over the last 3 years. I also referred my daughter to Keith and again outstanding service and results. He is an outstanding surgeon who is wonderfully supported by his team of administrators and medical colleagues.

I was recommended to see Keith for an opinion on my troublesome ankle. He listened and explained everything to me, and wasn’t pushy towards surgery at all.I did decide to have an operation and my recovery/ post op care has been great. 4 months later I am painfree and walking well.Keith is extremely knowledgeable and professional. He has a calm and caring manner. Kerry in his rooms is also very professional and helpful.I cannot recommend Keith highly enough if you need an orthopaedic surgeon!

I presented with a dislocated ankle/broken fibula repair that required 8 screws and a metal plate which was done up the coast.My follow up appointment was with Keith Winters back in Langwarrin.Upon examining my recent X-rays Keith brought it to my attention that the bone had separated 4mm and that the surgery would have to be redone.Couldn't have asked for a better surgeon, someone who has compassion and empathy and the best bedside manner.My journey throughout this terrible experience since seeing Keith has been amazing.I highly recommend Keith Winters for any foot or ankle injuries,cannot thank him enough :) Tracey Hudson

Struggling with knee instability and a structural bone issue from incorrect footwear Keith performed MPFL reconstructions and TTTG Osteotomies on both knees, as well as Bilateral bunionectomy on my feet. He’s highly knowledgeable and explains every aspect of the procedures, giving you the confidence to know you’re in great hands. His admin team are equally amazing, and are so organised with the way they keep everything on track. Even through the busy time of COVID-19 with hospital closures they were punctual and prompt allowing me to get into the hospital asap.I would give him a rating of 6 Stars out of 5 if it was possible and recommend him to anyone with simple or complex orthopaedic issues.Thank you Keith and team for fixing all my issues!- Josh

Mr Winters performed ankle ligament reconstruction and toe corrections in May 2022 on my right foot which were troublesome for many years. The procedure was a great success. My ankle is now stable and I am able to walk without pain. Reception staff are wonderful. Keith is professional, caring and compassionate. Thanks Keith!
