Weeroona Aged Care Centre
My mother, Raffaela Donatiello, has been in Weeroona Aged Care for 2 months and the facilities and staff are warm and welcoming. The staff go above and beyond to care for her and the other residents. Mum is really happy there and would highly recommend it to other families looking for an Aged Care facility. The food is of high standard and the place is kept clean and the recreation areas are great to keep the residents happy and interacting in every day activities. I would not hesitate to anyone who wishes to put their loved ones in a facility such as this. Great job to the Management and Staff for achieving a high level of standard living and care for the elderly.Just an update, mum has been there for 6 months now and she is loving the place. There is plenty to do there, with lots of activities, which she enjoys doing and the food is great. On special occasions they do arts and crafts, eg. making poppies for Anzac Day.Each week they have different sets of arts and crafts to do.She has met a lot of people, staff and residents, and they are all kind and welcoming.

TriCare Willow Glen Retirement Community
I have visited Willow Glen a number of times and found the residents are friendly, happy and welcoming. The village is well managed, with great facilities and plenty to do. Close to all the major shops, takeaway outlets and a medical practices. Great place for retirement living.

I'd like to thank Sue, Robin, Kate, Dana and all of the staff that looked after Mum, sometimes in very difficult circumstances. Dr Nash was very good too. I'm convinced we made the right choice in this aged care facility and I would recommend them to anyone.

Katie knows how to get things done, leaving a house - once a mess - in a clean and tidy state! She's great with my baby and 4 year old too, which has been invaluable for my family.

TriCare Jindalee Aged Care Residence
DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONE HERE. Tricare Jindalee was well run when Grant was there. When there was a change in Facility Manager two years ago, the place went down hill fast. My Dad had been in hospital for surgery and returned to the facility later that day. I received an email from one of the RN's advising that my Dad had hit his head and was asking me (and I live on the other side of the world) should she call an Ambulance? Seriously! My Dad has dementia and was able to abscond on numerous occasions from the facility. Not once, but 8 times! Not only that, they ignored a lump on my Dad's leg. It started out as a pea sized lump. When i came home to Australia i noticed it had grown to the size of walnut. How could anyone ignore the size of this lump when their staff are bathing my Dad daily? He ended up having a dissection of his groin and numerous skin grafts leaving a message scar on his leg. The hospital informed me that if it had been left any longer, he would have died.Just to add injury to insult, my Dad is malnourished. The hospital who are currently treating him cannot believe he's still alive. He has lost a considerable amount of weight in the 2 years he has been there. If you're an Enduring Power of Attorney, be warned, the current Facility Manager loves to Dr shop to try and get you removed as the Enduring Power of Attorney. He approached several Drs who were not there to see my Dad but other residents and proceeded to tell these medical practitioners my Dad's medical info without my consent. The 2 GP's and one hospital that my Dad was being treated by did not agree with the Facility Manager either. He tried every trick in the book. It didn't work.

Woodport Aged Care Centre
There were friendly and seemed caring, but there are not enough staff. People call for help repeatedly and no one responded. The doors shut and are unattended at 4 pm so you can’t visit easily. There is no mobile phone coverage so you can’t Skype remote family from the room. There was a phone but not in the room. It took me 4 days of trying to successfully ring in to speak to my Mom. My Mom was left in her room alone and immobile with no TV or entertainment for 1.5 weeks. She slept or looked at the wall. She was showered, changed, fed and medicated. But that was it.
