The old boat ramp/slipway here is a really great and unique subject to have in the foreground of your photos. The old rustic timber look and long timbers create a perfect leading line out to the water and then disappears. It's a perfect spot for long exposure and sunrise photography. It's also good for astro photography at certain times of the year. You just need to check the tide heights before planning to come here. Of the tide is to low you will just have sand at the end of the slipway. Be mindful it's hard to get onto the slipway for some shots and you may need to walk in the water onto get on the lower end of the slipway.

DO NOT, REPEAT DO NOT get your boat serviced there at all. Our boat put in for standard service, overheated so badly the first time we took it out after, we had to get the coastguards to tow us in. They said they would fix it. The next time we took it out, were on the water for 10 minutes before it overheated again. Stupid us believed them when they said the third time they would fix it. Nope!!!!. Have now found what the problem was at a reputable service centre, which should have been picked up at the time of the original service.

Went here for the jet boats on a Sat night. Great night out for the kids and adults. Gap between some of the races can be a bit long and the junior heats can be painful. But fast boats, BYO drinks (cans only), park up around the fence and watch from your canopy/boot/camp chair. Makes for a great experience! Take warm clothes, can get cold!

Beaumaris Yacht Club
The Yacht club is part of my earliest memories as this was our local beach. Then, when I was older, it became the start of the offleash dog beach and when I had my white german shepherd, who was so addicted to the beach that he would jump the fence and take himself down there, we spent most days year round walking from yacht club down to Quiet Corner.

Not a good meal like usual. Pork Cutlet was 60% fat accompanied with rocket/red capsicum salad. This was not a meal ....at best an entree. Scallops were over deep-fried and leathery. My rating on this occasion was possibly 2 stars. Nobody in our group of 9 could compliment their main..
