I absolutely love Capoeira - it;s opened my mind to a whole new world of culture, exercise and fun. I highly Recommend.

What a class!I've done a few different classes in my life but nothing like this. It's hard work but so rewarding in so many ways. And it's close to the train station which helps me out alot. The students that I met were all very friendly and made me feel at home immediately, which just added to the experience. Can't wait to go back!Monitor Trovão does an exemplary job in making you feel welcome and infusing you with his seemingly endless passion and energy. It's rare to find someone that will not only teach a group but also individually assess each student and be so willing with his time to help with weaknesses. I am very fortunate to have discovered this class.

I've done a few martial arts in the past but there's nothing quite like Capoeira. I love that it is not just a martial art with fighting and take downs but we also do music, singing, language (Portuguese), gymnastics, dance and so much more. I've got my kids doing Capoeira as well and it's all they talk about. This is a great school with experienced and professional instructors and many long term students which I think is a good indicator of a great martial arts school. It is wonderful to be part of such a vibrant community.

I was looking for a class for my young granddaughter who has great strength but was very, very shy. To be honest I based my decision to reach out to Capoeria Forte on the reviews I had read. Now I can review for myself!From the first phone call Stefano was very informative and encouraging of the kids learning to build strength, whilst incorporating time for fun play during each class.My granddaughter absolutely loves the class!! She has come out of her shell and would go to Capoeria everyday if she could.Stefano is amazing with the children. He sees each child’s progress and praises them, along with encouraging them to push a little harder within their own individual capability. He is very, very patient with the children and each class is creatively set out. Stefano takes the time to chat with each parent at the end of class and is very professional and passionate. I would highly recommend this class.

Really amazing Capoeira classes with Monitor Trovao! I've been training under Trovao for 9 years now and from my experience, he's an incredible instructor that'll make you work hard and enjoy it at the same time! He brings a wealth of knowledge to the art of Capoeira. The location is great too, just a 3 min walk from Wynyard station. Everyone's very friendly and helpful when you first start. It's a very welcome environment and the trainer will come around to help everyone individually during the class. Personally I've had really great fitness improvements from this and many of my friends there would say the same. Be sure to bring enough water and wear some comfortable clothes for training!
