Chess club

I paid for on-site classes for my daughter and son to attend on term 2 from 30 April -25 June. I paid $150 for each child and $300 in total. But only 4 classes are provided on site. From 28 May, 2021, Kids unlimited changed the classes to online for two weeks and then the following 11, 18 , 25 June classes are totally canceled even after the lockdown was finished. I was offered $50 “credits” for use only in Kids unlimited future classes.I paid for on-site classes therefore I don’t want online classes. The made-up classes should be on-site as well. The so called “ credit “ offered by Kids Unlimited is to force and coerce patents to sign up for their next term classes otherwise the parents incur a loss on their own.Never ever sign up for this company especially during lockdown! What they did is disgraceful and disgusting!

David and his team are amazing. We've been doing chess @ noon. My 10 year old have been having a great time learning not just chess, but good sportsmanship and ethics :) Great job guys.

I would like to say this academy is nice however I enrolled in the academy as a student and the academy are not letting me in the class because the new location is not emailed to me and even when I did find it the I still don’t know how to get in I tried everything calls,message but still nothing to help which is why I’m sending a review to tell the academy that I’m a student that cannot go to class and had wasted $120 on classes that they will not let me in

Best extracurricular activity! My son has been attending Sydney academy of chess at his school as an extra curricular activity, and now at the centre for holiday camp and weekend classes. The coaches are fantastic and have taught and fostered his love of chess. Lessons are well organised and cater from beginners to advanced, and a range of ages. Highly recommended

Great place to play chess with lots of events for players of all strengths and ages. Recently renovated with the entire layout moved around and cleaned up. The club on Monday nights is a great place to meet up with other chess players and have some fun games and banter.

The Sydney Academy of Chess runs amazing chess programs in schools as well as at their centre. They have a team of dedicated coaches who are all experienced chess players who all strive to share their chess knowledge. Their Monday night chess clubs provide a way for adult chess players to meet and play chess as well as tournament and seminar nights.

I attended various events (coaching & tournaments) here over the years, and it's great to see a business that cares about the development of chess within the community, on top of ensuring it's financial viability.Events were always smooth, plenty of space, well organised, and communicated well. I have moved away from Sydney now, but look forward to visiting every time I make it back home.

Sydney Academy of Chess in my experience are (and always have been) fully dedicated and committed to ensuring that every student that gets taught, gets taught to suit that individual students needs, rather than a one size fits all approach. That's what makes them stand out in my opinion and that's what makes them so great. They care and pride themselves on maximizing every learner's potential and helping people.. So, if you're reading this, what are you waiting for? Great place!

In term 2, they cancelled some classes( NOT the ones which we forced to have online classes instead of face to face classes during lockdown period). In term 3, I decide not to enrol again but they can NEITHER provide a refund for the cancelled classes NOR provide any make up classes. They don't give us any option but only offer credits if we keep on enrolling. This is so unreasonable and it has never happened in other extra-curricular organization. Very disappointed in this matter.

My children have been participating in the Kids Unlimited Chess at Noon tournaments during the school holidays. I could not praise this program enough. The daily tournaments have been awesome. The online competition is extremely well run and has been a highlight for the kids during this time of self isolating. Some of their friends from around the state have also joined in the fun.
