Great coffee from a quirky cafe! Interior is fun with plenty of outdoor seating. Ordered through the hey you app which was easy. Ordered the Iced Coffee and Chocolate Banana Bread. Highly recommend

HUNGRY BIRD CAFE
Another unpretentious little gem in the Gold Creek area.Had lunch here today. Being a Sunday I thought it prudent to book a table, it was not required, lots of seats available.The menu is extensive and reasonably priced.Wife ordered a Chicken Parmigiana and reluctantly had to leave some of the excellent Chips on the plate. Generous meal.My choice was the Seafood Basket. Excellent choice.Rounded off the lunch with a gelato.Strongly recommended and will be back.

Stopped in to get a coffee and have a bathroom break. Asked for a coffee with soy milk, not a weird request I would have thought in 2023. The elderly lady replied we don’t do soy, in a condescending tone. We said ok and asked if we could use the bathroom, she used that opportunity to add another layer of condescension and rudeness by looking us up and down, stating, ‘we don’t have public restrooms’. Just purchased a strawberry watermelon cake for mothers day. I am always in hunt for new flavours for my cakes and must say I was looking forward to try this cake, but it was a huge disappointment. It IS NOT a cake. Just chunk of watermelone and strawberry with some cream on top. Not much of a cake and very expensive for such a humble taste. So.e may like it but I am definitely not going back. Also, it will be more clear for customer not to call it a cake. It is a paste. Overrated product. At least in my opinion.
