I escaped 26 of January 1990 and went to Adelaide, melbourne and even asked police for directions in Woy Woy Bay to get back to Queensland. I ended up doing 7 years 3 months and 21 days ( it was plastered over cell door at Grafton when extradited lol

my cell was quite spacious and the meals were hand made, though it wasn't like the movies and after dropping the soap multiple time i realized no-one wanted me as there butch. apart from the lack of shower insdents i really enjoyed my time here and might commit arson again to get back in

Stayed there in 2004 & just spent time there again..It hasn't changed at all..Area 2-1,2 & 4 wing in the main need to be shut down..Area 1-SMAPS - Boneyard is apparently clean & new..Hunter & Shortland all new..Wonder why Prisoners act like caged animals,,Old Cessnock is why..Shut it down CSI...

I have only been on the outside of this historic building (thank Christ) but I was very impressed with the grand architecture and current condition of it. The aboriginal cultural art displayed at the entrance was incredible as well as beautiful.

My cell was great....although different to the brochures. Room service was non existent. Some of the other holiday makers were a bit rapey and violent...probably wouldn't visit again.
