District government office

A vibrant, forward thinking, and inclusive council. The area also shares a strong cultural and historical presence with Perth.

This is the worst council I’ve ever seen, so money hungry, and does hardly nothing good for people but did lots of stupid things.Bloody cold & ruthless, we really need to muster some guts to fight this useless council.

parking inspector lives an interesting life. dishing out fines day in day out. cant be too fulfilling.all the negative energy he puts out in the world will no doubt catch up with him later in life. I wish him nothing but the best however, its inevitable that he's going to receive the exact opposite.thanks for ruining many people's days you trash person/ council.

To their home and construction dept: Rude and unprofessional, Never meet commitment and only know to charge your fee. Couple of days ago, talked to one of the approve officers and request to reply my email and he said he will do that while I don't get anything feedback after a month.When you ask them why, they can only say it is according to the rule etc.Never cares about your real concern.

Great very helpful

The libraries are supposed to be quiet. They should do something about teenagers just coming to have their snacks and laugh & talk loudly. I swear it’s louder than a shopping centre. Otherwise the library is nice and clean.

Extremely prompt, clear and detailed information was provided about residential rates and plans for area development.

Friendly staff

I get up pretty early in the morning and you would be amazed at what goes on. Starting at about 4am the council guys and gals empty the bins, then the clean team take care of the public toilets and clean the public bbqs. Then the street sweepers come through the streets and car parks, all before most people have even got out of bed. On two occassios I have had to report a problem and the councils response time is awesome. I have had ocassion to speak with a lovely lady, a senior officer who has even directed me to an organisation that can help with getting a new pair of reading glasses at a heavily discounted price - if that isn't going the extra mile for residents, I don't know what is. In my opinion we are very lucky to have such a well run council, most of there great work goes unnoticed, but without them the mornington peninsula just wouldn't be as great as it is! Keep up the good work!!!!

Website clearly states that the Council Offices close at 5pm. I ring at 4:05pm and am told they are closed and I need to ring in office hours. Press 1 for after hours assistance. The fellow there has no way of contacting the council and only deals in emergencies. Got in the car and drove down to the Council Offices. Also closed, but no note on the door explaining why. Don’t get caught doing actual work at the council - a rare occurrence.
