SMALL REGIONAL AIRPORT IN QUEENSLAND - FAST AND FRIENDLYMackay airport is small enough to retain that personal, friendly feel, yet big enough to have airline lounges (Qantas and Virgin).Easy check-in and security screening.Has a few eating options within the terminal.If you are visiting the Qantas Lounge - there are no toilets within the lounge - nearest is on the ground floor opposite the gates.

Small airport. Has all the facilities and a good food court.. however, food is just as expensive as Sydney. The security checks are a pain with rude people and slow lines. Typical Australian domestic airport.

Port Macquarie Airport
My son needed help changing a booking and the young woman at checkin was dismissive and completely unhelpful. She appeared to be very occupied texting on her mobile phone. Thankfully the gentleman at the next check in counter called my son over and sorted the issue out quickly and professionally. I hope someone reads this and either offers customer service training and/or looks at the recruitment strategy. One star for madame and 5 stars for the hero.

A nice airport but why are the guys policing the pick up / drop off zone so aggressive?Honestly, I arrived today to pick up my mother in law who was walking out of the main doors and the parking inspector knocked on my window immediately and accused me of lying that someone was coming out to get into my car.Why else would I be there?He was on a power trip if you ask me.

Airport Clayfield Motel
Airport Steve is the BEST. From the moment we walked in, we felt like friends. He was so helpful, and the beds were great. Hot water in the shower was amazing. Definitely would stay again. Also, if you're looking for a great spot close by to eat, then do yourself a favour and drop into the Sakana Japanese dining bar. It's the bomb.

Exceptionally rapid airport. Efficient check in, security and gates.Rocked up an hour before a flight in absolute rush but managed to make it through easily with tonnes of time to spare!!Well laid out and well thought out. Laid back, chilled out aussies!
