Just scored some Birkos and Vans! The quality in this store is great, clothes are reasonably priced and the people are super-friendly.

Donnybrook Community Op Shop
The Donnybrook Community Op Shop, nestled amidst the charming streets of Donnybrook, Western Australia, is a veritable treasure trove for collectors and seekers of nostalgia. Stepping into this rustic establishment is like entering a portal to a bygone era, where time seems to stand still and stories whisper from the shelves. The shop is an embodiment of history, a sanctuary for forgotten relics, and a celebration of the beauty found in the old and worn. Every nook and cranny is filled with an eclectic assortment of items, each bearing its own unique tale. Vintage furniture, retro clothing, dusty books, and weathered trinkets paint a vivid picture of lives lived and memories cherished. For those with a discerning eye, the Donnybrook Community Op Shop is a playground of possibility. It's a place where collectors can stumble upon hidden gems, where the thrill of discovery awaits around every corner. The allure lies not in the shiny and new, but in the patina of age, the stories etched into the surface of every item. However, amidst the charm and allure of the Donnybrook Community Op Shop, there lurks a peculiar quirk that can leave even the most seasoned shoppers scratching their heads. It's the absence of price tags—a mysterious omission that transforms the act of purchasing into a whimsical game of negotiation. You approach the counter, an artifact in hand, curiosity sparking in your eyes. The shop owner, with a quick and judgmental glance, sizes you up, a knowing smile playing on their lips. The price they quote is not dictated by a standardized system or the intrinsic value of the item, but rather by an enigmatic equation of perception and instinct. It's an unpredictable dance of haggling and amusement. Should you return to the shop on another occasion, seeking the price of the same cherished artifact, be prepared for a delightful surprise. The answer may differ, like a whimsical twist in a surrealist painting, leaving you both bewildered and amused.Indeed, the Donnybrook Community Op Shop offers an experience that extends beyond mere shopping. It invites you to embrace the unpredictable, to engage in a dance of bartering where the joy lies not in the price itself, but in the playful banter and unexpected outcomes. It's a testament to the idiosyncrasies of human interaction, where the value of an item becomes a delightful negotiation between seller and buyer. So, venture into the realm of the Donnybrook Community Op Shop, a place where time stands still and the past comes alive. Embrace the whimsy of a shop where prices are woven into the tapestry of individual perception. Discover the joy of uncovering hidden treasures, and let the laughter bubble forth as you engage in the delightful dance of negotiation. The Donnybrook Community Op Shop is a place where old meets new, and where the price of an artifact becomes a whimsical journey in itself.

Savers
Great newly opened op shop. Probably has to be the newest op shop in the west. Savers has a huge variety of clothing, even for men, but prices can go all over the place (From $5 to $20 clothing). You get what you pay because if you're looking at budget clothing from here, the quality of the clothes will have deteriorated. But then again there might be the odd one or two good quality budget clothes, which I found a Country Road Dress Pants Size 36 for about $6.50 (which isn't too bad for Savers and an op shop in Melbourne these days). However, there are some discounts you can get. There is a 20% off sale for students on Sundays, and 20% off sale for Seniors on Mondays. The location is a bit off considering this has to be one of the closest Savers in the West, but isn't as accessible as the Vinnie's in Altona North for the entire community. But the location would be fine for a local to be honest.Considering the op shop is just about brand new, the cleanliness is excellent. There are some disappointing things to mention in this review, which is that video games are very limited, and the sports section seems small too. There are a wide range of clothes, DVDs, and books too, which I saw The Happiest Refugee" Memoir by Ahn Do below the market value

Customer service is extremely poor. One worker was particularly rude, banging aggressively on the changing room doors demanding that we leave. Unfortunate that an opportunity shop has such little respect and empathy towards customers. 09/04/2023 ~2:00pm

One of the best thrifting places in Melbourne. Come here all the time. They have such a large variety of things and it's an oasis for kids toys. Great to recycle rather than buy new! Highly recommend!
