I was staying at Ovolo Nishi on 14-15/4 and tried to get an appointment with Roji but they were full, however Lisa, beautiful Lisa could see my hair needed a tidy up before I attended a wedding that afternoon, she sat me down for 10 mins, gave my hair a quick blow dry, pop in a bit of dry shampoo and hair spray and made me feel so very special, at no charge!! She apologised they couldn’t fit me in even though I was first on their Sat 15/4 waitlist. She has a wonderful gentle personality. Firstly, my hair stulist told me I HAD to have a wash (i was only booked in for a dry style) after I told her it was only a dry style. Then upon forcing me to have a wash, her boss came over and questioned me why I was getting a wash when I did not book it. I explained I tied to say no and she insisted this had to happen. The boss then had a go at her staff member infront of me and from this point on, the atmosphere was really uncomfortable. My stylist then took me over to blow dry my hair and was swearing about what had just happened whilst talking with her colleague whilst doing my hair. She was also very rude for the service and burnt my head with the blow drier a number of times. Mid way through my style (slick middle part with curls), she advised me she had no gel and couldn't do what she had agreed to doing. This left my hair parted wonky, fuzzy and crunchy with cheap hair spray as she had no gel. She told me go and buy gel if you want that look". What type or hair salon doesnt have the right products available? She then proceeded to do one of my friends hair how I had asked without telling her she cannot do it and caused the same disappointment.All of our makeup was completely different from what we asked and done to a very poor standard. The harsh lines between face to neck and completely different eye shadow colours are really disappointing. The makeup artists (except one) didn't even speak to us whilst having this service. Even one hair stylist had told my friend to ask for their makeup fixed due to how bad it was

I had makeup done which turned out fine, but I was made to wait 25 mins after my scheduled appointment time to be seen and the price was $25 more than advertised on their website. I queried this with the girl who took my payment and she said it was because the place had been refurbished so the prices have gone up. Why haven’t they been updated on the website? You would think after waiting so long to be seen they could at least honour the price I booked at. Disappointed

I have been here several times and each time I walk out extremely pleased with the service. They are professional, and do an amazing job. I Have been getting my brows threaded for years and I have been to a lot of places in the area. I knew after my first visit here that I would never go anywhere else again! They are hands down the BEST around. You will not be disappointed.

The women at Beauty Hub are so talented. I’ve tried numerous people for eyebrows; they’ve been my favorite thus far. They’re SO clean!!!!! I showed one of the ladies what I wanted to have achieved with my eyebrows and she assured me with time it’ll happen, and she was right! They’re efficient and clean and professional!

Firstly, nice salon, ladies doing the service where lovely, nice vibe however overall experience tarnished by multiple things. Incorrect prices on website (nearly $30 more than advertised) and outrageously expensive food (our $24 cheese platters jumped to $42 each). We book well in advance back in January so a notification of increased prices before arriving would have been appreciated. Also our hen asked for a half-up half-down style at the start of her 2hr appointment only to be told there was no time at the end to finish her hair. If there was not enough time it should have been stated at the start of the service. Would not recommend going here if you are after your moneys worth.

Had such a relaxing treatment and cut at Roji. The treatment / wash room feels and smells just like a day spa. Such a refreshing change from the usual loud and sensory overloading salons. Sarah has given me the best cut I’ve had in years. Highly recommend!

Told the friend who recommended Roji to me, she was also on the fence and has confirmed she will also no longer return.Edit: response to commentThank you very much for your response. I wasn’t going to go into the nitty gritties of the experience, but based on your response I feel compelled. Firstly; I called to ask if it was ok that I was running 15 minutes late, in which the response was that is fine. I then arrived at 12:15 and asked if I could run next door to grab a takeaway sandwich, I was back at 12:25 again the response was that’s absolutely fine. I then sit down only to have the young and inexperienced girl roughly start on my hair as she discusses her distain for her previous hair dresser employer in Barton. I then ask if I can pick up a work call (was on the call for 12 minutes) again the answer was yes. Never once in this period of time was I told it would impact on the service, if I had, I would have adjusted accordingly. Further when I first called to make the appointment I was told it would go from 12-3pm… yet I was asked to leave at 2.15….. 45 minutes would have been ample for a cut. When asked if I was happy for the very very dark haircolour I responded it was much darker than I asked for and the response was “hmmm” nothing more….Again, terrible experience, of which I’ll continue to reiterate to friends who ask about local salons. All the best and please treat customers with more respect going forward, life can be unpredictable and good organisations will flex to that.
