The staff were very friendly and made the experience enjoyable. The food was delicious, and the coffee was creamy and smooth, went down well. I highly recommend this place for any time your wanting a bite to eat. Will definitely be back for more.

Great coffee and stella toasties. Favorite by far though is the banana smoothie with two shots of coffee. Best way to start a road trip :D

I found this cafe to be a bit hit and miss. I've had some truly awful drinks from here but the food is ok. Ive leant to ask for the coffee to be weak as it is very bitter.

Coffee has gone up by an extra 70 cents. Now I pay $5.70. Not impress. I will not be coming back.

Unreal. Pizza, pasta, ribs and drumlettes were awesome. My wife who is gluten free said it was the best she's had. Thanks Frank and the team. Do yourself a favour and go!

I’ve never seen such generous corn flitters plate!! Halloumi cheese, smashed avocado, grilled bacon and corn flitters all is my favourite !!It takes 20min to get there on foot from my place and I enjoy morning walk to have amazing coffee and meal. Highly recommend.

We have been three times to Fiction. The food is always a winner, tasty, nicely cooked and good value. On our first visit service was pretty good, but on the last two it has been substandard. The last time, the junior assigned to our table was painfully slow to watch, difficult to hear and seemed to faff around the register with other staff, not paying attention to her tables which made it very difficult to call her over. Note, it was only perhaps 25% full and she did not seem nervous which we could have forgiven her for. We weren't the only ones looking around for service and after 10 minutes my partner gave up and walked over to her. Our daughter, a junior at a busy inner Brisbane cafe, was appalled at how slow this girl was. To top it off, when our table was cleared by someone else he dropped the cutlery on my skirt, hardly flinched and did not seem at all apologetic.Such a shame. The kitchen seem to be doing a great job, but it's being let down by the front of house staff.

A great hidden gem of a cafe and bean roastery. Their selection of packaged coffee beans is vast and unique. Their customer service is absolutely phenomenal and they are very friendly. When you buy coffee beans, they give you a free drink of your choice and in the same size as your bag of beans. For example if I bought a large bag of beans, I can order a free large drink of my choice but if i ordered a small bag of beans, i get a free small drink of my choice, etc.They also offer to grind the coffee down for your individual needs and based on what espresso machine/ coffee machine you use to brew your coffee. Splendid experience and we went back for more beans later that week. Overall bought about 10 kgs of beans from these guys. Super satisfied with the different flavours they offer and the selection of foreign beans. But thwir customer service was one of the best I've come across.
