1) I tried so hard to get into the vibe of this place but I just couldn't. The atmosphere inside was like a hospital cafeteria with the added bonus of an irate and disrespectful head chef/owner? Banging on the bell so aggressively ding ding ding ding ding...can you hear me, can you hear me, angrily to his staff.2) Twice I've been there on my own and was completely overlooked with one of the times I moved twice hoping they'd notice me. No they didn't, so I went up to the counter and told them I'm leaving and why.3) The last visit I asked for water when I placed my order, a reminder for the water when I received my order then had to go to the counter on my way out and ask for this water as the waitress forgot twice to bring it.4) The food is inconsistent and I've noticed this on three separate occasions with the final visit being the last straw. I was truly disgusted in what was brought to the table that I showed the waitress. I'm sure it tastes the same was her quip back. I give up!5) The beautiful vanilla slice I had two separate occasions (with the candle in the background) was replaced by some slop that looked like an ibis plated it. I was shocked as they make it there on site and have proper chefs YET someone who couldn't make icing felt that this was fine?Let the photos speak for themself.

Love this place! I’ve been eating here for ages and keep coming back for the amazing Portugese style chicken and super friendly staff. Highly recommend the skewers, chips and chicken burgers.

Stopped in Kilmore overnight and came across Smokin Joes, ordered the Smokin Joes special pizza and was not disappointed. We are five star eaters and normally would not grab a pizza to go, however we were not disappointed. The service was fast and polite, and the pizza was exceptionally good. We have not tasted a pizza like that in many years. So if you find yourself in Kilmore and you are looking for a feed, head down to the Woolworths complex and give Smokin Joes a try. You won’t regret it.

Distinct cocktails and an amazing dining environment. It is a good place to enjoy leisure time with friends!

I had the steak sandwich for lunch. The wife had a Chicken Schnitzel. Absolutely fantastic feeds. Decent sized meals and great prices and atmosphere.

Started with a warming Dalmore 12yo and crispy prawns. A generous serve of fresh prawns, with fresh lemon and a sweet chilli sauce. Tails were a little underdone, however plate was well presented and prawns were tasty. I then paired a Tasmanian duo of a Cape Grim T Bone and an Ampel pinot noir. Fresh vegetables and a baked potato were good accompaniments along with the pepper, mushroom and cream sauce. T Bone was a large 500gm and ordered rare - delivered rare with blue on the bone - nicely done chef. A family friendly ambience with groups, couples and a few singles mixed through. Attentive staff and a clean restaurant. A little pricey but the quality was there. Only down side was the delay in the vegetables being delivered and an extra fork.

As always an awesome place to visit! The seafood is top quality and we keep coming back. We’ve been to many other crab houses but this is the best. Friendly service and good value. So full!!!

Do yourself a favor and visit this fantastic restaurant. This is our absolute favorite takeaway in Cheltenham. Having stayed in Europe for few years, we were desperately looking for an Italian food joint and luckily we found this. The food is always fantastic and no matter what I order I am always delighted with my meal! Service by happy and polite staff is also great. Can’t wait to order again and would highly recommend to anyone looking for tasty Italian dishes and seafood.
