Heart hospital

A big vote of appreciation to all the staff at Genesis Doncaster for the excellent service you have provided to me on numerous occasions recently- even more so given the challenging times we are all experiencing. I find all of your reception staff friendly, helpful and efficent. Your techicians and consultants have an excellent professional manner, being supportive, caring and always happy to answer any queries or concerns l might have. I have recommended a number of friends to the clinic on the basis of my experience and their feedback has been overwhelmingly positive.

Lovely nurse and cardiologist, empathetic and caring

I had an examination at this place but they failed to do a full ID check and ended up putting a wrong birth year on the system. The staff only called my first name to bring me in and didn't ask my surname and date of birth until the scan was complete. So I was feeling insecure and saw the screen and found out the wrong birth year put in. I hope they understand the importance to have a correct patient information on the examination result.

Very rude staff. !!!!

Had good experiences with Dr. Salehi, this review isn’t about him. Receptionist Amy has been quite rude to me over the phone on two recent occasions. First when I rung to book in with Dr. Salehi due to 140 heart rate and again today to get given results from a heart scan the dr ordered last week. I was told it was clear and when asked when I’d like to book in I politely informed her that I had since been in contact with my gp again and we had figured out that my high heart rate and shortness of breath were from smoke exposure/inhalation (I was exposed again and my symptoms got worse/came back after improving). I asked if that’s something dr Salehi treats, Amy didn’t listen to this and had some attitude - “it’s up to you whether you want to see dr Salehi or not, we aren’t making you but you’ll have to pay $”. I just paid $400 for a heart scan on the spot and she’s made me out to be a cheapskate and not listened to what I said over the phone at all. Simply asked if dr Salehi treats what I’ve got going on. Super disappointing because Dr Salehi and Isobel are very friendly and professional and I’ve been going through a very stressful and scary time with my symptoms only to be met with a very unempathetic and cruel receptionist. She also pointed out that ‘all I’ve done is emailed reception’ … no I paid $400 a few days ago and had a scan by the doctor. If a patient needs to ask a question they should be allowed to especially if that’s the cost. Isobel never complained about any emails I sent and went above and beyond to assist me.

Asked if they bulk-bill but only got attitude, not a great way to increase custom. No response from owner who hung-up when called but Chinese-owned so one cannot expect much. Money before patient comes to mind...
