We arrived on a Sunday before 3 pm but the museum was closed. They have advertised the opening hours as 11 am to 3 pm.

Great facility to have kids birthday party. You have your own decommissioned train to use as seating. Plenty of chairs and tables provides to use in your own pivate platfotm. You can also ride stream train, which the kids enjoyed a lot . Staff are very friendly

Daylesford Sunday Market
The market was very nice, dog friendly, some nice local food and products. The train was really cute and there were a lot of parking spots available.

Open will be bit windy (depends on when you visit).Parking is just in front of the train station.

Heaps of parking, great atmosphere, great food, gorgeous stalls of home made items and secondhand items. Cute little train ride for all ages. So glad we are able to come and experience it again after so long. Also head to hepburn springs for a beautiful walk.

The 20min train ride was a good experience and the kids loved it for the simple fact that it's a train ride. It was bumpy, squeaky and had a lingering smell from burning fuel, and this what I expect of a traditional train ride which was awesome. The route cuts through some remote vegetation which was cool. Overall I say it's a must try especially if you have kids.

Rail Trail
Great place for a bike ride and you can also walk as far as you want,then turn around. Some shaded areas.The tunnel was great fun

Gingin Railway Station
The lons club of Gin Gin /Chittering have done a great job restoring this place. This little hidden gem is a neat little cafe where you can grab a bite whilst soaking in the history of the railway station. Art and crafts on display which you can buy as well. Family friendly place with great food and drinks served with a smile. A blast from the past which feels like you have stepped back in time. Definitely must stop by when visiting or passing by Gin Gin.
