Japanese language instructor

I have just begun learning Chinese at JIC, so far it has been a great experience! Small class sizes allow for everyone to participate and receive one on one support from the teachers. I can’t wait to continue my learning journey with JIC!

My daughter commenced classes at JIC and, she enjoys the interactive teaching approach that encourages students to speak and practice their speaking skills.This teaching method is effective because it allows each student to practice their speaking skills and receive individualised feedback.The teachers are also very welcoming and friendly.

I started learning at Nunawading Japanese School in October 2022. My classes are online as I am based in Adelaide, SA. I think one of the best things about Nunawading classes is the conversational speaking practice (かいわーアッタク！！). For 4 months prior I had studied a different Japanese language school in person in SA before Joining Nunawading Japanese School. I found that my old school focussed so heavily on writing and reading; and as a result I felt I had no confidence in speaking and my listening skills were really lacking.I found Nunawading Japanese School on Google, and saw they offered online classes which was perfect for me to fit around work hours. I was a bit nervous as I wasn't sure how an online class would work but I have to say every class is run so smoothly, the Sensei (teachers) are amazing and so supportive, and it's a really fun interactive learning environment with your classmates.The textbook and homework（しゅくだい <3）are well paced, and the listening exercises for each chapter are great for reinforcing vocabulary and grammar you learn in class. In 6 months I've made friends with my class mates and I'm looking forward to making a trip from Adelaide to Melbourne for the Japanese Summer Festival at Box Hill on May 26th! Big thank you to Mari sensei, Eiko sensei, Kanoko sensei, Noriko sensei and Vaughn-san for their awesome work!

My daughter has been studying Chinese at HSK1 level and now HSK 2 with Ken for almost 12 months and has enjoyed the course and the tuition immensely. Ken is an excellent teacher with vast experience, and I have total confidence that my daughter is getting the best tuition in Brisbane. After our school removed Chinese from their curriculum offering, we started group classes with Lyrebird and haven't looked back. I would recommend this school to anyone who is wanting to learn Chinese for pleasure or to support their formal studies. Elli is also a wonderful teacher and supporter.

Took Japanese for some time at Lapont. The teachers are really great. The text books いっぽにほんごさんぽ is OK but not as good as まるごと or げんき。(they kinda force you to purchase the textbook for big $$). My last class was a mix of motivated grown up with limited amount of time together with less motivated, sometime immature young adults (kids")."

I would have loved to be a student at YK Education during my HSC year, as it provides a space that is not too pressuring but still pushes students to achieve their personal best. Yuna has been a super supportive employer, and is always willing to listen to your concerns as a student or as a tutor. When I applied to work at YK Education, I was worried that I wouldn’t be a great tutor. However, from the minute I stepped into the office, Yuna provided guidance on how to be the most effective coach, so you don’t need to worry about being inexperienced!Working at YK Education has been a really rewarding experience, as we can truly see the difference we have made in students’ learning lives, not only in terms of their academic achievements, but also in their confidence and attitude towards learning.

Studying Dutch at IML was an amazing experience during my semester abroad. You will find a variety of present day languages and experienced staff. Having attended numerous language classes in other schools in Europe I must say that the IML learning experience was most efficient due to outstanding teaching methods.

Lapont Language Centre is an extremely friendly, helpful and professional Language School. You can see that the teachers love their subject and go out of their way to make sure you have an extremely positive experience learning a foreign language. The venue is clean and conducive to learning. The Lapont Language Centre Administration are extremely helpful and accommodating to your needs. This is a fabulous Language School and once I become proficient in Spanish (the Language I'm currently learning) will continue with other languages.
