Low income housing program

It is now almost a year since I moved to Gayndah, after miserable experiences, elsewhere. The Staff could not have been kinder nor more helpful, allowing me to integrate into local community groups, through which which I can sharpen my teaching skills, again.While I seem to be unable to even be a volunteer tutor, as a registered teacher, across the Burnett Region, I am now able to support home schooling families, and have great times with other 'old's', in the local nursing home---what a 'feast of fun' we have, weekly!When the time is right, I would like to contribute to a quarterly newsletter, to encourage similar tenants to share their experiences and to provide feedback to the Staff.Raising such issues as the absolute necessity of the provision of ceiling insulation for ALL units like mine--which in almost every other way, is perfect for my needs.THANK YOU, Queensland Housing, and WELL DONE.

Similar to another reviewer here - Mckenzie Bond hasn't paid my state portion of the NRAS incentive payment for year 2017-18. It has been overdue for more than 9 months now and they are just sitting on it. Have been continuously following with them via numerous phones and emails but they have failed to respond to any of them. I have been liaising with Jok, one of the employees, but he always provides a standard response that he is unable to release the payment as Keith (their boss) is the only one that has the authority to process the payment. I am always told that he will follow-up with his boss and remind him, but nothing happens. I don’t understand what kind of business they are running as it seems it’s only a one man show with other staff just covering for their boss with no authority to take any actions. It is such a shame to see this business behaving in such an unprofessional manner and deceiving their customers with lies. I am now proceeding with filing a formal complaint with the DSS to have this issue resolved and will take further to higher authorities if required to get my money back. I strongly advise everyone to stay away from such a dishonest, unprofessional and deceitful business!!Update - 07th June 2019 - Such a lame response from the owner!! Clearly shows how they don't even bother to understand the problem and instead of contacting myself to resolve the issue amicably, they get someone at the reception provide a standard response (similar to what they have done to another reviewer)....such a disgrace!!

If u could give this place no stars I would, the workers are absolutely useless, refuse to help you and cancel your application cause they decided to change your phone number that you gave to something completely different. And oh my god Garry is just absolutely rude and disrespectful and not helpful at all. He told me I was abusing him over the phone cause I started crying because they cancelled my application because their useless workers can't do their job right. You have a better chance finding a house through private rentals trust me.

Everyone who I have spoken to so far has been extremely helpful and nice.There was an error regarding an open house but it was rescheduled for the next day and the staff were very apoligetic for the inconvenience.The agents who showed my through the property where very professional and friendly.

Horrible horrible environment, staff are utterly incompetent even if they ever gave a damn! Rules are only for some tenants, no security no safety! 2 years of 'excellent' quarterly inspections and then when you move out suddenly its beyond repair..... In other words we'll just keep your bond (that they illegally don't keep with Bond Admin Auth) and illegally keep a key deposit after keys returned! The absolute scum won't even tell you this, after weeks of enquiring they'll finally admit that they're keeping the monies due to 'costs' . Absolutely ludicrous

i just came to talk about a place i found, the door was locked & it was only 4pm. use close at 5 i asked around & some locals said use always finish early they also said your cars were there but still no one answered.

Becarfull when renting with foundation housing. my mother rents from them and twice in like three years missed a rent payment by accident was a bank issue her pay whent in late. but foundation housing both times tried to say it was two fortnights instead of the one fortnight on both accasions.just abit suspicious trying to do it twice to her

Absolutely Un helpful and useless staff, don’t give you a chance to fix anything once they do a walk through they just charge you for cleaning even when you’ve had the house professionally done took nearly 5 months to hear anything about getting my bond back only to find find out I was being charged 600 dollars off it they only told me this when I called never received any notice whatsoever and am currently still waiting to receive what’s left of my bond due to them changing the original form I sent back to receive the bond and not bothering to add bank details into the form. I highly recommend you stay as far away as possible from this organisation!
