Wow, what a beautiful place to stay! My partner, brother and I stayed for the UTA weekend. We were warmly welcomed by Margaret and shared lovely chats with her and fellow guests. Everything is well thought out with fantastic amenities and selection of armchairs with little nooks and crannies to relax with a book or share a meal. Highly recommended. We would love to stay again!

This little gem in the heart of the Blue Mountains is not one to be missed. The hosts at Glenella have retained all of its old world charm by decorating it throughout with antiques, period furniture and memorabilia. As you enter the spacious front parlour you are welcomed by the genteel English hostess who seems to blend perfectly into place. She is a font of knowledge about Blackheath and surrounds and will gladly provide you with suggestions of things to do while you are staying there. After a quick tour of the guesthouse you will be introduced to your room and any other amenities you may require to enjoy your stay. The bed was comfortable and we slept well in spite of the creaking floorboards. The bathroom was suitably old fashioned, but clean and, although the plumbing took a little while to get into action, the water was hot and plentiful. You are encouraged to use the kitchen facilities to prepare your own meals or choose from a number of excellent cafes and restaurants which are a short walk from guesthouse.Altogether a delightful stay that made us feel like we had briefly gone back in time.

Katoomba Manor
Excellent accommodation. Owners are lovely, very welcoming and friendly. Modern facilities, extremely clean, decor is elegantly french inspired, breakfast is delicious, bedrooms are wonderful - clean, spacious, bathroom is modern and features luxury amenities, plenty of little extras (free bottles of water, cakes, fruit, chocolates etc) and the Manor even has a movie theater room! Feels like you're staying at a five-star boutique hotel mixed with the local charm of a B&B. In addition, Katoomba Manor is very close to Katoomba Town Centre and Leura. Overall, a very enjoyable experience and highly recommend it to anyone who is looking to stay in the Blue Mountains.

The most amazing place to stay while in the blue mountains. The host is such a lovely woman. She makes you feel right at home. The guesthouse is super cozy with games, a fireplace and plenty of spots to sit and relax. The amenities are clean. The kitchen is very well equiped and large. We kept extending our stay because it was so great!

Katoomba Manor
Unreal experience. Hosts go above and beyond. Didn’t really know what to expect, but from minute we walked through the door we were welcomed and cared for with tea and cake. Only 4 guest rooms so they really pay attention to detail. Bathroom is gorgeous in “Australis” room, my jaw hit the floor when I saw it. Included breakfast was a full hot breakfast, juice, warm croissants, hot toast, fresh fruit. Kept us going all morning!

Without a doubt the owners are very generous with a cooked breakfast, endless supply of water and snacks are available free of charge. The property is also very, very clean. Despite these efforts I would not return to the property. The photos online are misleading, we stayed in the Australis room and it was very small. The room also faces the highway and traffic can be heard. To their credit the owners have tried to minimise the noise with double glazing. We had to ask twice that the heating be turned down which seemed to annoy the owner but it was quite unbearable. There is a huge movie selection but it is set up in a way that if you are unfamiliar with the title you need to log online and read the synopsis or watch the trailer on You Tube. When we finally settled on a movie the file could not be read, which irritated me so I just settled on watching Channel 10. My mum and I were also subjected to a weird breakfast rule; we were not permitted to sit opposite each other on the communal table but had to sit next to each other. I'm sure there is a reason behind this but, it felt like I was back at school and being told where to sit. Cheekily,we got away with it on our first breakfast!!!! So naughty! Perhaps our expectations were different, as other guests have had a marvelous time at this property and everything in life is subjective but there is something missing here which I can't quite articulate, perhaps it's the ambience of the place, perhaps it's just me.

Charming, individually styled rooms in an elegant B&B with wonderful hostsWe had a a delightful stay in Katoomba Manor. It’s obvious the hosts - John and Sipha - paid attention to the tiniest details. From heated bathroom tiles to the most charming decor, fresh flowers and personalized breakfasts, everything is wonderful. Our room is beautiful decorated. Breakfast - served in the refined dining room - is so delicious and fresh. I love the pretty teapots that tea is served in.I’m glad we chose to stay here instead of a mass-oriented hotel.Thank you, John and Sipha!

We really enjoyed our short stay at this guest house which is really conveniently located with a lovely environment, clean and well equipped. Importantly, it was also very comfortable.
