Bradleys Head Amphitheatre
Great for dry picnic. Best place to stay with friends and family. Beautiful view of Sydney city including harbour bridge and opera house. You can get there easily by car or bike. And parking is just $8 for all day( 12 hrs)

Emu Creek Camping and Day-Use Area
Great camping spot near the creek with clean, flushing toilets and an area to have a shower provided you bring your own. Plenty of sites to choose from, about 12-15. Not enough water in the creek to swim in, (at time of writing) but you can walk a fair distance up the creek bed.The 10km dirt road leading down to the campsite is a bit rough near the end and is fine for all vehicles and caravans in the dry weather, but front wheel drives and large vans may have issues getting up the steep bits after heavy rain. Also, once you're off the main highway, don't follow your Google maps, it may lead you astray due to lack of internet. Just follow the road all the way down, campsite is easy to find.

Hawkstowe Picnic Area
Came here on a weekday for a walk so not many people out and about, which was nice! Plenty of walking tracks to explore here but not well signed so best to download an app like Alltrails before heading out here. The walk I went on was fairly exposed so sunscreen and sun protection is a must. Popular spot with mountain bikers too. Lovely walk to the wetlands area. Some picnic tables and I saw one bbq near the homestead and car park.

Leighton Gardens
Nice little park in the middle of town. Lots of seating available and plenty of options for lunch. Well maintained paths and lovely flower gardens and old shade trees. (Only 3 stars because of litter left on tables, but I can't blame the gardens for that, I'm sure the trees didn't do it)

Winton Wetlands
Great place to visit, a very surreal experience! Well worth going just before sunset to see the kangaroos having a drink but stay in your car or they will get spooked. It's a great place for astro photography too with very little ambient light.
