Rare book store

An amazing array of bound books, very large selection and spanning from Australian history through to the history of cooking in ancient times. Recommend a trip here, seeing these in person feels like stepping back in time.

This was a great find of a bookshop. I managed to find a 19th century copy of a Thomas Hardy novel I'd been looking for. The service from Janet and Rob was fantastic, very friendly and they had lots of time and patience to answer all my questions about starting a book collection. Thank you very much.

Beautiful new and used book shop with attached restaurant on a lovely winery estate. Coffee was takeaway only when I visited which may be because they were prepping for lunch service and are usually fully booked.

Ordered comics online which arrived fast, packed nicely and well presented.Unfortunately, one comic I received was the wrong item. Something I already owned.Contacted them and complimented their service and asked in a friendly way about the incorrect item.They replied with just wanting to see a photo. So I sent them pics. After a few days even followed up to confirm they got them and if the needed anything else. No response.Contacted them again another day later and was just told that they were busy and I had been given a refund for that comic and that they didn't want it back. (Which makes sense if return postage would cost them more than it's worth.)Never once got an acknowledgement of a mistake with my order or any kind of apology or anything. Had to contact them again to even find out what happened and if I could still buy it and found that the stock was in the wrong place and wasn't available.A small mistake with stock is fine but probably shouldn't take a week and 5 emails to get to the bottom of it. Took another star off for the copy of Supergirl 60 they sent which had some pretty harsh brown stains along the top, that I didn't even mention to them before.

This friendly 'Jim' guy must have sold the business as the person I dealt with was horrible! Using the excuse of 'it's a free world' to justify terrible service is pathetic. Unfortunate as they have great books, I just wouldn't deal with them ever again!!

very cute shop, the lady at the counter was so nice and helpful. the shirts displayed out the front of the shop had such nice patterns but unfortunately they were out of my price range. the books were priced reasonably well and i didn't get to see the art. i stopped here while on the tour bus, and i highly recommend it to tourists or just anyone in general too.
