SMALL REGIONAL AIRPORT IN QUEENSLAND - FAST AND FRIENDLYMackay airport is small enough to retain that personal, friendly feel, yet big enough to have airline lounges (Qantas and Virgin).Easy check-in and security screening.Has a few eating options within the terminal.If you are visiting the Qantas Lounge - there are no toilets within the lounge - nearest is on the ground floor opposite the gates.

Bairnsdale Airport
Bairnsdale Field Days was on at the Bairnsdale Aerodrome, on every year. Great day out for everyone and families....there is usually something going on throughout the day ie:- there were dogs from Playful Paws...showing the audience how well trained they are, they were rescue dogs, some used as therapy dogs. Music entertainment..... different food places to choose from, you can watch working dogs do their thing rounding up sheep, through time trials....you buy plants, work clothes, boots, slippers and various other stuff.....For the farmers, farm equipment, tanks etc.....it's worth going to every year....this year 2022 had less stall holders due to COVID situation, as past couple of years it was postponed.

Small airport. Has all the facilities and a good food court.. however, food is just as expensive as Sydney. The security checks are a pain with rude people and slow lines. Typical Australian domestic airport.
