Was an adventure of a lifetime!Hired kayaks with my friends. Definitely worth it hiring with them, easy booking and service, very beginner friendly and Rob looked after us. He gave us very clear instructions, rules and advice. The water conditions became pretty choppy on the way back, it was an actual struggle to paddle back to shore, he came out to check on us on their dinghy, ended up rescuing us, giving us a ride back and our kayaks to shore! 10/10 would recommend!

I attended the RYA Day Skipper course with Terence and Mainstay in the Whitsundays in July 2022, it's a fantastic spot to spend sailing and tuning your skills. We were lucky to have warm 20-30kn winds which was a great test, also some beautiful blue sky 10-15kn conditions. I really enjoyed the night sail and chartwork components. Terence was a great teacher, happy to share a few salty stories and a fantastic cook. I walked away with confidence and a lust to get back sailing as soon as possible.I plan on sitting my RYA Coastal Skipper next year with Mainstay, can't wait.

What an incredible experience in the beautiful Whitsundays with great people. I can’t recommend Mainstay Sailing enough, especially as a complete beginner. Terence is generous, patient and makes you feel safe with his unending knowledge. You will also never go hungry - the food was amazing. Hope to cross paths again!

Thanks Funcat! This was a first on a mini catamaran for the both of us.We had a great time.Beautiful views from and on the water. Andrew is a very thorough and responsible operator. He clearly showed us how to (basic) sail, and demonstrated to us, prior to leaving the foreshore. Use your ears & head to listen & learn; you’ll have a relaxing time.We will definitely be back and I can imagine what a great team building/outing idea this would be!!

I got a lot of practical knowledge from the Course, stuff you don’t learn from books. It was a good week, sailing in one of the most beautiful places on earth. I would recommend this over a charter boat!

I must say you have great staff, from our briefing with Kieran who gave us a great understanding of the boat, to your skeds crew twice a day were super helpful and extremely knowledgeable . The boat was in great condition and nothing was a bother. I really appreciated your help with our gear to the Marina and i look forward to booking with you in the future.You and your staff made our 7 days at the Whitsundays extremely memorable.all the best and hope to see you all soon.

We tried the steaks, my steak was actually cooked perfect, dead. But the rest of the meals were poorly put together, a simple chicken burger and a cheeseburger, very simple meals, but for a chef, both terrible and COLD. Second steak was medium, but it came as a dead piece of meat like leather, so I can say that most went over the glass panels outside, the Korean skewers, not even 1 tenderloin all up ,maybe half if lucky. Garlic prawns topper for steak, garlic prawns in a garlic sauce, actually in a garlic watery sauce. I had to ask if there was a chef cooking . Veggies well broccoli was cold and limp it looked like it had come back of a plate and the heads had been eaten just stalk left, Absolutely terrible food and most was cold. Next time we Holiday here in Yeppoon, just go to maccas or kfc . Then we already no we are going to be disappointed. Been here 3 nights and that’s enough, food in Yeppoon was very disappointing for a tourist hotspot.
