The Spice Monkey is my go to spot for a drink on a Saturday afternoon. The prices are good and the view is amazing. You get to look out at Wallis Lake and watch the birds go by. Well worth a try.

Busy place and we had to book for the next evening for dinner.Pleasant and good food and service.When asked about our meals, we told them the ribs were really salty and it was taken off our bill. Pleasantly surprised.Thank you.

Visited on Thursday 8th SeptBeef Bao: Very soft and tender beef, every bite was delicious.Son-in-law Eggs: Cooked perfectly, the yolk was gooey, the eggs were soft.Pork Ribs: overcooked and dry. Sauce was very salty.Overall, the portion was decent.Friendly service.

Amazing Asian flavours served with yummy cocktails in with a Vibey ambience. The eggplant dish was amazing.

Ordered edamame, fresh tuna sushi rolls, mixed sashimi and king fish eggplant curry. The curry was my fave! It was filled with flavour and sauce. The servicing size was generous too. I’d come again

A great location opposite the lake. Best tables face the lake, on bad weather days. clear blinds drop down to protect diners from the rain, but keeps the view, a good idea.Inside- lots of hard surfaces and no soft furnishings make acoustics unnecessarily loud.Food is expensive for what you get, and a huge delay between courses when they weren't busy.Service is very meh, staff seemed indifferent to everything, didn't seem to go out of their way to welcome or update on very delayed mains.Not uncommon for this venue to be booked out in peak times. Reserve a table well I'm advance if you have a preferred day/time to dine.90 min happy hour is good value for a mid afternoon appertivo.

The food here was delicious a fine dining fusion experience. Delicious food, albeit expensive, however you are more or less paying for the lustful views looking over Lake Wallis, dolphins, sunsets and evening glow. There is not much in Forster comparable for lakeside dining views.A+ Korean style chicken wings.

Great spot for lunch or dinner. Asian fusion. Great staff who are happy to check and accommodate allergies etc. Not cheap but solid option. Great view of the water if at the front.

Recent visit to Forster in May , fabulous weather and a lovely village - good food venues -We visited Spice Monkey - how fabulous. Whilst waiting for our take away we relaxed, sipping a beautifully smooth Roku Gin & Tonic and looked out across the bay. Take away was great also- particularly the Beef Dumplings and the squash flowers. Friendly and casual atmosphere which the locals clearly love also. Thanks Georgie for looking after us. We will be back on our next trip.
