A weird and spooky place to be waiting, only worse area the bus stops outside the train station. Many ordinary salt of the earth types but also weird frightening ppl wouldnt want to be there in the evening! freezing place to wait in winter would give it zero stars but I couldnt post this review then...

Freshwater
A picturesque and quaint station which can be used as your starting point on your Kuranda Rail trip. The station has a rustic feel and offers a wonderful little gift shop and has a bar available. Those traveling in Gold Class can have drinks served prior to departure. The staff at the station are warm and friendly and the amenities are clean. It's the perfect starting point for a wonderful day travelling on the Kuranda Scenic Railway.

North Williamstown
Lovely old Suburban Station. Some real safety issues leaving from the Williamstown direction side of the platform trying to cross Ferguson St. Also safety issues crossing to either platform since they" sealed up with concrete the underpass."

Very small station, kind of in the middle of nowhere and somewhat hard to find. Services are infrequent and connecting transport is inadequate. Station is under rebuild construction at time of review so there is no toilet access and no elevators.

This is a seriously sub-standard station. We're not in the 19th century - there are no electronic boards and the signage of the platform times is incorrect. I recommend taking a stroll to Glenferrie or Camberwell if you can, avoid this station.
