Beautiful area, the trains there have some amazing graffiti pieces, and the grain cargo attracts so many pigeons it’s like that scene in Mary Poppins where the lady sings about feeding the birds. I strongly recommend a visit if you like train graffiti or pigeons!!

Valley Heights Rail Museum
Had a lovely day with my family. My kids loved riding the steam tram and visiting the museum. Santa and his elf were very attentive to all the kids. Sausage sizzle was a great addition to the day.

Long Island Depot
Some of the oldest tracks of the Long Island Railroad, this is where the trains are stored just after the Flatbushes of Brooklyn. Best view of the place is via the East Side Access, on the Sunnyside of the island.

Valley Heights Rail Museum
Fun experience for the family. My 5 year old son and 70 year old mom both enjoyed it so much. There is so much to see and the staff / volunteers are super knowledgeable and friendly.
