I discovered this clinic when I once took a very old cat here for a second opinion and was relieved with Harbourside’s (less drastic/invasive) recommendation. I’ve used this vet clinic ever since, even when I lived in the opposite side of town. All the vets are kind, knowledgeable and practical. The owner has owned the practice for many decades and still practices as a vet himself. It’s a wonderful small business and they do a fantastic job- it’s so clear that all the staff love animals. Highly recommend!

Over the years we took our pets to different vets around. Benny is one of the best by far. Super helpful, honest and real. No BS. If your pet is feeling unwell. Don't hesitate to take it to Benny, best vet around. Highly recommended it.

Always receive the friendliest and most attentive care from everyone at The Gap Vet Surgery. My dogs report that only the tastiest liver treats are provided by the vets as well. No wonder they practically run up the driveway.

Honestly, there are much better vets in the area.I went to this vet for my dogs yearly vaccinations. The nurse was really sweet and loving to my dog, however, when the vet came in, she immediately said Oh those chihuahuas are nippy

Everyone at this clinic is kind, friendly and helpful. They truly care about the well-being of animals. Their prices are super reasonable and they’ve been especially wonderful during emergencies. I would absolutely recommend this clinic to anyone who wants quality and loving care for their pets.

Our tiny 8 week old toy poodle broke her leg badly. Vets raised concern regarding sugery and medicine for such a small puppy. Dr Lidbetter was highly recommended by multiple vets. We couldn’t believe he was able to operate on and save such a small leg. We were very impressed with the service and the results. The entire team was very helpful and very kind. Effie’s leg fully recovered and she is bouncing around happily.*Update*Shortly after my last review Effie broke her leg for the second time (in a different place). After getting the x-ray we went straight back to Dr Lidbetter and his team. They fit us in urgently and Effie had her cast on within 24 hours of her accident. They have such an efficient organisation and everyone is so kind.Effie has fully healed and is again bouncing around far more than she should and despite our best efforts she often stands on her hind legs.We are so grateful to this amazing practice and cannot recommend them highly enough.

Absolutely outstanding, thorough and caring service from Sam the vet and the other ladies in the team at Kingscliff - and the Tweed branch too. They got the job done in one afternoon, preventing the need for further, potentially expensive measures, which definitely helped reduced our stress (and costs!). Thanks, ladies!
