Yakiniku restaurant

Pre-2020: Best yakiniku in Sydney. You come here for the food, not the service for everyone venting about bad service and cramped spaces. Great value for money (moreso than all the other ones I've tried with the all-you-can-eat's) and their flavours are the just the best. Try their recommended Wagyu beef ribs, pork neck and ox tongue. Only downside is that you come out smelling like.. BBQ, so don't wear nice clothes. It's also fairly loud and crowded so you'll need to book in advance (and be on time or your table will be taken).

What a wonderful place, the best food in the town of Taree.Fantastic staff, so very friendly.The sushi is made fresh, the chicken katsu was so crunching and amazing chicken.Great vibe!

Tokyo Table was lovely and I definitely recommend! The service was great and super fast, staff where very prompt with taking our orders. The quality of food and portion size was great! Overall I could not fault my experience. Price wise also it was reasonable.

Kashiwa is the best Japanese bbq in greater Sydney!Marinated chicken wings, I will rate beyond full marks, the best chicken wings I have ever had. It’s a must try.Their bbq actually use charcoal, instead of gas, which makes it much favourable.They have a different kind of platter to choose from, depends on how many people.The price is not too expensive, but definitely worth it.

Feel of having a proper Japanese food, I decide to try this restaurant. Reservation made a few hours before opening that only left me with two time slots option, and I choose the 1.30PM before the restaurant closed. As you can conclude its popularity, especially over the weekend, I strongly suggest to make a booking a few days prior.The restaurant is beautifully decorated with a modern touch of Japanese vibe. The place is spacious with a plenty of seats which all are indoor, and 2 VIP rooms available at the back.There is a cost friendly lunch menu available, however, it is really worth trying the yakiniku. Bear in mind that this is a yakiniku place. Yes, a variety of wagyu set is charcoal grilled ready, that is perfectly set with three selection of sauces. Grill it, dip it, and enjoy it.

What a find! The food here is incredible! Don't be fooled by the prices, this is cheap and cheerful done right. Pork Katsu are excellent, very crisp and juicy. The Karaage Chicken was large, crisp and tasty. The place was super busy but the service was fast and attentive. Lot's of variety on the menu to keep going back, which we will. Add this place to the rotation.

August 2022: Shingeki Yakiniku opened a while back, however given the attention it has received since opening, it has taken us this long to be able to have a table. The menu is a little limited, compared to most other similar restaurants, however once you've made your selection, you'll find the portion sizes are larger than expected. Wagu cuts are perfect, and of a high quality. Side dishes are definitely something you'll want to share between the table. Absolutely delicious and we'll definitely be back.

Sometimes these /5 ratings are about as trustworthy as a politicians hands under a banquet table. Here at the 4.1*koh ya, I can kinda see why some fellow eaters are not seeing the 5* scene. This is not Tokyo department store Japanese dining (paradoxically excellent), but we are in the spot, randwick, which is let me put it kindly, not an epicurean epicentre. There's enough in the area that's good enough, and this place is at the better end...reliable, mostly Korean takes on Japanese food...which is pretty normal. The cook yourself options are fine, though they'd benefit from some pungent Korean sauces. The real stars are the more mundane menu items...seaweed soup, sashimi, and stone pot bibimba...all served as quick as said politicians hands, and at prices that work.

I usually don't post negative reviews. I prefer to provide a constructive feedback to the staff for improvement and keep my google reviews to celebrate amazing places.But this time, I had such a bad experience that I think it needs to be acknowledged.The restaurant is so dirty. I wish I went to the bathroom and passed by the kitchen before ordering the food. I would have ran away.The meat was a really bad quality so much so that we barely ate half of it as we were worried to get sick. But the price was wagyu premium. The staff didn't ask what was wrong although our plates were full of leftovers half chew and took our $96 for the two of us without shame. It is definitely not the floor staff fault, they are probably doing their best. I do support local business and I understand that the past couple years have been tough for the hospitality industry, but the owner of this place should review their hygiene standards and pricing. This place needs a deep cleaning.
